2 blood pressure meds, fish oil, and a multivitamin!  :-\

what is your blood pressure without the meds and is it essential hypertension(idiopathic, they dont know why) or is it from a disease like pheochromacytoma or conns etc?

Agreed. But sometimes you just can't fight genetics. For example I take a low dose of Atenol (25mg's) & have for three years (of course there's been some seriously fucked up shit that happened in that time). I've increased the cardio & dropped some weight & I've had the dose cut in half & by next year I should be off it.  :)

ya but you could take many things to lower blood pressure.

seriously, try 100mgs of ca10, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 250mls of pomegranate juice a day. Report back in a month. Nothing wrong with the drugs at all, the supps have similar effects as the beta blocker you take, not literally. :D

olive oil, seriously, great shit. I mentioned it before. pomegranate extract juice, it contains an ACE inhibitor(angiotensigen converting enzyme). i stated these above.

bonito peptides(could be spelling this wrong here)

garlic and fish oil have modest effects at best. meditation has a very profound impact on blood pressure. just 10-20 mins a day of mindfullness meditation.

not sure on the melatonin, dont have time to research right now, but ill look into that and get back to you. If i had to geuss i would say it does have an effect as it is anxiolytic and a potent anti-oxident, it wouldnt be the first thing id use though, although id use melatonin regardless of a condition.

I see some good stuff on that list.
Have you tried all those products by themselves?
How do you know which ones are working?

IOW, there is some overlap, i.e. Vitrex, anti-aromatase, and DHEA, for instance.
How do you know that you’re not getting all of your benefits from just one of those, while the other two are worthless – unless you’ve tried them individually (without assistance from the others)?

Yes, I have used many of these individually...been experimenting with various supplements for over 20 years. In that time I have developed a sensitivity as far as knowing whether something works on me. Also, I've even had hormone levels measured to see if anything has actually affected me. I did some small steroid cycles in the 80's , so I know I have a good response to Hormonal manipulation since I made great gains from what would be considered 'Fitness women" doses. I took Dhea in pill form a few years back up to 150 mg and noticed virtually nothing. Of course like most oral hormones, unless the molecule has been manipulated as in 17 -alkylated steroids (dianabol, etc.)oral absorbtion is very poor. Lately I tried DHea again, but in a sublingual lipo spray..and after a few weeks noticed some definite increases in muscularity and fat loss. Plus..unlike other steroids, DHEA has been shown not to inhibit your own testosterone production. However after 2 months on it DHEA, I noticed a lag in my libido..so I used some Vitrex, which is a liquified mix of eurycoma, Tribulus and other stuff. I instantly got a huge increase in sex drive and increased muscle fullness. This works on me a little like HCG. But, I got a little watery from it ..perhaps because of estrogen conversion, so I added a small dose back in of 6-oxo(aromatase inhibitor) which got rid of the watery look. The net result is at 47, still look pretty good at 5'9" 200 pounds (not ripped, but lean enough to see a bit of abs) and no need to go on HRT yet and still have good strength in the gym. And most importantly..I don't listen to "experts" on the internet that say all supplements are worthless!

Just curious to see what everyone on here regularly takes and why...

other then BCAA's and whey/egg albumen protein I usually take:

lately I've been taking melatonin (oral spray version - 1.5mg per spray) but it's been giving me weird side effects
next morning at work my memory's all fuzzy, feel groggy for half the day and get weird dreams on it..anyone else have similar side effectS?

Whey
BCAA's
multi vitamin / mineral
glucosamine / MSM/ Chon blend
flax seed oil caps/omega 3.6.9 oil caps

Melatonin does that to me as well, not to mention crazy nightmares when I would take more than 3g..got Trazadone from my doc and it's like heaven. 2 50mg pills and I am out for 6hrs but wake feeling like i slept for a week! I don't have troubles falling asleep but staying asleep.
