There are some 1 bedders in Sydney that sell for around 2 million even.

My parents bought an off the plan 2 bed investemnt apartment in the harbour, in 98, and the value has increased by around 250% since the purchase date. inner city apartments = good buys.

The building is the Bennelong apartments. They were built in 1999 i believe. Controversial back then due to their proximity to the opera house and their appearance.

Well then you would know the building well. Very nice, but too expensive to buy one (any size) now. The Strata levies are ludicrous too, which is why about half of the apartments there are leased out, including ours.
