That's the portion of the documentary I watched a few years back with the info.  Great doc by the way, long but good.  I then looked up a copy of the original treaty to read.  My point being, that you can't challenge someone here on not learning it in school.  That's a little silly don't you think?

It seems teaching is NOT uniform throughout america seems some areas are taught one thing and another area/region is taught another. Now it seems nothing at all is being taught. My understanding of what happened with the Native Peoples is not what I have heard your typical american talking about, the history of the African Americans is NOT what I learned or know, the history of america as it relates to its treaties, deals etc is entirely different than what I learned.
