Well, given that some of the criticisms against her are just inane.  She's not smart because she didn't go to an ivy league college?

Biden's had way, way more gaffs than Palin, but he's smart?

She's a whore, her kids are blah, blah...

Personally, I think the libs just fear her.  So, they have to minimize her through mockery.  How many Palin threads do we see where there is an actual challenge/discussion of her views, versus mocking her family or education?

I just finished her book.  She is far smarter than people give her credit for.  Look at how she is rehabing her image singlehandidly in such a short period of time.

All she has to do is show up - say she lives in alasaka and knows it far more than Al Gore and the fact she sees polar bears or some stupid line like that she wins.

Gore will come off as his usual idiotic pompous arrogant self, turn everyone off, and she will walk away the clear winner.

I don't know how smart or dumb she is, but I've got no problem with her debating others and letting people decide for themselves.

Frankly, I don't think that quitting her job speaks to highly of her.  Staying the course would have given her more experience, shown grit and determination, and given her a lot more credibility.  Maybe it was just a mis-calculation, but it doesn't reflect highly on her.

Why not just have a debate and let people decide for themselves?

I don't think anybody who's sold millions of copies of books and is an endless topic for conversation (obviously on this board), is on the "fringe".  She may very well be unelectable, but what's wrong with hearing her out and letting people decide for themselves?

1.  millions of copies of her book were bought in bulk and are being given away for free so a fringe right wing website can create a mailing list of retards

2. nobody is stopping her from talking

3. see reasons listed in prior posts why Gore should not give her the time of day much less share a stage with her

You see what I  mean 33 about the inane criticisms of Palin?

Here, we have one of the board retards saying, "she's not smart because she's an idiot".  Is it really possible to reason with somebody like this?

Skip - her book details exactly what was going on.  They were personally out to bankrupt her.  They were filing hundreds of FOIL requests weekly, bogus ethics charges, etc.

She was on the hook personally for every one of those $$$ wise.  She admitted in the book how it looked.

Her kids were stalked at school, AP reporters were camped out on the ice behind her home, the security caught one guy camped out in the woods near her house.

She had $500,000 in legal bills at that point personally and said the govt literally was almost shut down because of the garbage coming their way.

All Im saying is that there is more to this than the nonsense that people like blacken say.  He didnt read the book, or even read the news reports for that matter, as to what really went on right after the election.

As for debating Gore, Gore will lose ljust like he did to GWB every debate.  Gore is an idiotic clown who has scammed his way through life.

Many of us have felt the same way about Al Gore and not debating anyone regarding his theories.

Look Skip - Palin is quickly gaining popularity.  She has massive star power.  If she tightens up her game, the dems know she will be a force of nature since she connects with normal people

Al Gore is completely FOS on this issue, just like he was on 99% of everything else.

If Palin gets on a stage with him, she will come away the winner by default.  Remember how the idiot GWB made Gore look like a fool in the debates?

Gore is his own worst enemy.  He is a clown, a fool, convinced of his own genius, and would never agree to allow Palin to make a fool of him.

I've seen ZERO evidence that Palin connects with "normal" people

The only people she seems to connect with are other nitwits and/or bible thumpers like herself

even better - people can listen to Palin and formulate their own opinion.

you look at her and see someone who connect with you.

many others looks at her and see a complete idiot

still others look at her and see as a pathological liar

If Jennings is proved to  to have done the stuff you claim (or have posted that other claim) then I'll join you in condemning him

Jones did nothing wrong and I've consistently faulted Obama for letting his "resign"

My opinions of Palin are not uncommon

Her education has been brought up endlessly with some going so far as to post her "C" average report card.  Now I know most GB's with their 26 inch arms, million dollar bank accounts, and 4.0 GPA's (who just "conincidentally" have the grammer skills of a 10 year old) may be game to put her down for that.  But a "C" in high school or middle school or whatever it was, makes her dumb?  I don't think so.

It's been often pointed out that Colin Powell was a "C" student, and I would hardly call him dumb, or an idiot, or a moron.

They've all made gaffs.  Even Obama himself once stated that his biggest problem was his own big mouth.  That's hardly an indication of intelligence.

And that's exactly why I think the left should debate her.

why does she need a debate to express an opinion?

If she's got something to say about climate change/global warming etc... she can just say it

shit, she can do a movie about like Gore did if she wants to

no one is stopping her from speaking her mind

If Palin wants people to think she is smart then all she has to do is stop saying things that make her seem stupid and start saying things that make her seem intelligent

problem solved

yeah, palin is at 20% Intrade for 2012 nominee.

The more she talks, the more she creates gaffes she'll have to explain in 2011.  The more she talks, the more she alienates groups.  Wait til candidate John Thune's people remind us that Palin saw abortion as a viable option in 2008, admitted it in 2009 repeatedly and was condemned by anti-abortion groups.  His 100% conservative rating, pro-gun stance, lack of preggo teen daughter, etc means he can out-conserative her.
