the real travesty is that she gets a platform at all. that she gets treated as though what she knows or thinks about global warming even really matters Her response: "not if it's a 'conventional' debate." Meaning she wants to have a "MAVERICK" debate, where you get to make up your own questions and your own answers, and there are no rules about tropes, canards or winks.  and a talent competition! with fancy pageant walking! :D :D :D OK now simpletons come to her rescue!

No,the real travesty is that ANYONE takes Al Gore seriously. The guy that claims the Polar Bears willl be extinct very soon when their population is increasing yearly.A total, absolute dunce and fraud from the very start of his political career when he and his big fat wife tried to ban music.

what's your point?

Gore is a 2 time VP, former Senator and Nobel Prize winner

Outside of a fringe group of TeaBaggers Palin is a laughing stock and a walking punchline

Gore's gravitas would only help Palin appear to be a legitimate voice rather than a crackpot that she is

Yeah, a 2 time VP, former Senator and a joke of a Nobel Prize winner (Arafat won one too, is he better than Palin?) who won't debate anyone and who is a PROVEN LIAR.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/copenhagen/article6956783.ece

There are many kinds of truth. Al Gore was poleaxed by an inconvenient one yesterday.

The former US Vice-President, who became an unlikely figurehead for the green movement after narrating the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, became entangled in a new climate change “spin” row.

Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years.

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.

The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming.

Gore won't debate Palin because he would look even stupider than Biden did when he faced her.

on ALL GLOBAL ISSUES, I would put my $ on Gore.  Palin talks in theory from the neocon playbook, but she's never sat in a room where world decisions were being made, let's be honest.

Gore won VP twice - Mccain lost because 60 of voters said Palin wasn't ready.

Gore would have won in FL if he hadn't been cheated, something I relished at the time because I disliked that snake so bad.  however, he is intellectually worlds above palin.  Sure, he took a beating trying to sell this global warming garbage.  But the total body of his intelligence, he is at the top and she is all "I *would* do this" theory.

Her experiences on energy is more than Al Gore's.  Good try 240.

Al Gore is like the white version of Obama - all talk and b.s.

Maybe she would win the discussion on energy.

Maybe he would win the arguments on middle east, africa, economy, foreign affairs, russia, EUR, and a shitload of other issues.

it's okay to say you agree with her on way more positions than Gore - but that he has a shitload of experience that she does not.

Like what?  He made a phoney movie and collects cash from dupes willing to listen to his speeches.

She dealt with energy issues in an executive capacity.

Gore sat in the oval office for 8 years alongside Clinton.

If you don't think he has experience, you're letting partisan politics blind you.  I disagree with about 98% of his positions on everything - but I think his knowledge and experience on most issues destorys palin.  You don't spend 25+ years at the top of govt wihtout learning a few things... she's been a governor 20 *months*.

Gore is one of my top 5 least-liked politicians, but I admit he knows a lot of things.

Gore was non-existent during the Clinton era.  A non-factor. He was Clinton's lap dog. What did he exactly accomplish during that time? Nothing. Except for inventing the internet. I guess that is a plus.

You people call Bush the dumbest president ever. Yet, that dummy beat Gore for the Presidency in 2000. I couldn't understand how Bush could possibly had "stolen" the presidency when the votes being recounted were in Democratic strongholds in FL. It just amazed me how "stupid" Bush bitch slapped Gore "the genius" in his own party's backyard.

Experience in being wrong is not impressive.Biden has expieriance but hes wrong on EVERY major issue over the last thirty years and is a gaffe machine. So what hes been a senator for thirty years hes wrong on everything all the time.Gore is the same ,simply wrong all the time.

I always am amused how you insult Palins experience but yet you support Obama who has done NOTHING in hids entire life including never having held a real job.

I like how Sarah pointed out in her book that biden was one of only 4 people to vote against the Alaskan Pipeline and how wrong he was back then.   Ha Ha.

Palin owned Biden even back to 1975!

Gore won't debate at all, but he gets a pass.

Palin will debate, just not on their terms, but she's an idiot.

Yeah, makes total sense.

Many of us have felt the same way about Al Gore and not debating anyone regarding his theories.

Look Skip - Palin is quickly gaining popularity.  She has massive star power.  If she tightens up her game, the dems know she will be a force of nature since she connects with normal people.

Al Gore is completely FOS on this issue, just like he was on 99% of everything else.

If Palin gets on a stage with him, she will come away the winner by default.  Remember how the idiot GWB made Gore look like a fool in the debates?

Gore is his own worst enemy.  He is a clown, a fool, convinced of his own genius, and would never agree to allow Palin to make a fool of him.

are you shittin me...Do you remember Biden Palin Debates..Palin was all circumstantial, retarded, catch phrases, while Biden was percise and used facts and numbers (something that some on the right find very scary) ....dude gore would demolish her..

problem is, you already think Palins shit smells like roses ...with out even smelling it. Not unlike a teen girl going ape shit over the Backstreet Boys. Dude you know it.

Instead of looking at shit objectivley, you think everything she does is great. You and I know it.. Palin could be in office and do the exact thing Obama is doing right now and you would think it was the best thing for the country. You, I and everyone on this boy knows it.

You prob cum in your pants everytime she speaks

No, I just find it hysterical that the self appointed geniuses in the RAT party get owned every time.

Gore got embarassed in the debates with Jr., not by junior, but by himself.  And Biden did not win that debate, and if he did it was by small measure.

I like what Palin stands for and am REVOLTED at what liberals stand for.  Its on the issues more than anything else.

I will gladly take a not-so einstein conservative over a "brilliant" marxist any day of the week.
