Nasser was a 2nd tier bber at best. His own competition record is evidence of this. He can't be compared with the likes of Ray,Levrone,Wheeler...all of whom showed consistency throughout their careers.

At the end of the day Wheeler will still be talked about while nasser will be an afterthought....if he's lucky

And this is the reason why Team Nasser was created. They feel (or they know) that he is not as great, so they must shout how good he is, or he will be forgotten.

97 Olympia was nassers only shot at fame. If nasser was a first tier bodybuilder he would have been a serious contender for Coleman once yates retired. Instead he tapered off and ended up in 15th place before being forced to retire for...... health reasons.

If he was a first tier contender he would have won more than just 6 comps throughout his career. He couldn't even repeat his win at NOC or AC. Instead he dropped down to third place in both on his next attempt.He couldn't even win consistently internationally.

Lets blame it on the judges, racism, Yates, his wife etc.

Actually Levrone should have won that AC, funny how Levrone won the Most Muscular Award-typically that goes to the winner. The Flex mag spun it saying Levrone came in flat---if one comes in flat one doesn't win the Most Muscular Award.

Just like how Johnny Fitness spun how Cutler won his AC's against Chris...

Dorian said it himself, Flex was the only one who could really give him a run for his money. Good for Dorian, Flex was never driven enough for that specially after his car accident. He was not better than Francois, and he was nowhere close to Flex to Flex in 97 and 98. Hell, if Flex entered the 99 AC, Nasser would have lost. And those pics clearly show that Nasser was only outweight Ronnie, but was nowhere close...not even close to Flex...and that the back detail is severely lacking in Nasser. Never knew how a guy soo big could lack detail.

Flex '93 would win. After that, probably on occasion when he tried hard enough to show up in good shape. But from '98 and on, Flex had destroyed his physique IMHO.

Don't know, Flex had a smaller waist, bigger arms legs, had a better taper due to his small waist, which made his lats flare out in the front double bi giving the illusion of width. Flex was also more of a Freak. But that one pic of Flex in some white trunks lying down with one arm up , has to be hands the most aesthetic pic ever taken of a bodybuilder. Mits O. took it. I have posted it before.
