Most people are against profiling, until they have to share a plane with a group of 200 strangers.
However, if you've been profiled, you know it totally sucks.
You can either accept it as "hey, we're all safer", or you can feel pissed about it. Doesn't change what it is.
I was handcuffed a few weeks back because there was an Amber Alert in my city, and I was in the same area, looking the same, with my son who looked just like the missing child. It sucked, but at the same I understood.
