Bullshit. See my post about the Austrian.
You talking about Manfred? See my revised post. I have those mags with Manfred tslkingabout 10 mins to big arms. They are from the mid 90s-- 1996 to be exact. Musclemag even had a article about Chris Clark's new enhancement.

So you are saying that a smaller guy can beat a more massive guy only if symmetry and proportion is out of balance for the bigger guy?
Yes.
But if that guy is too muscular for that smaller guy, he will win aginst that smaller guy.
If he is bit bigger than that complete smaller guy, that smaller guy will win.

So if Flex was bit smaller than Dorian, Flex would have beaten Dorian without any problem.
But if we talk about weakness, Flex physique was even less complete than dexters physique. For example, look at his back spread, his lat is bit high and narrow.
Anyway, its easy to imagen 7 mandatory comparisons. If you have weakness in 7 mandatories, you will lose even if your signature pose is like a work of art.

Some says that his kdney problem prevented him from this dry in his last years.

This looks like a guest apperance and still he looked better than 1999

Wheeler at his best looked like a cartoon character. Too bad for him that he looked like a small cartoon character and thus was not always able to defeat the big boys.

Dorrian was the first of the really massive BB's things changed when he hit the seen..it was kinda of a progression Lee Haney before Dorrian had mass but not as much. So he kinda got caught in the transition you think?

Again, Dorian has ONE r in it, NOT two.

DoRian, NOT DoRRian.

So why did Dorrian beat him ND, can you explain? Flex had one of the best physiques of all time in my book.

ONE R kid, NOT two.

Good reply, so how did those guys like Frank Zane and Chris Dickerson win the O? Just a question, there were bigger guys in those contests as well did the judging criteria just change?

You're new to this aren't you? Judges have changed. Criteria has changed. Tastes have changed and the norm has changed.

Dorian has ONE r.

Listen beef, the who's who of the sport also show signs of having used the stuff. My opinion is that it's hard to use it to any real advantage without it showing at all, and to me it's off putting the second it shows.

This is very true...oil use is very obvious to the trained eye, you can see it in use by most pros today in some form or fashion. Even Cutler, Martienez, etc etc...in fact it would be much easier to make a list of current pros that DONT use it then those who do.

Its very off putting and should be an instant DQ IMO.

Remember everyone...most pros today are not any bigger then pros of the late 80s...they are simply more oily.

M!

Manfred's arms were already HUGE by the 1991 WSM competition. By 1993/1994 they were insane!

Van, Shawn said on here and several times in the mags that he was trying to get in Flex's head A la Muhammad Ali, he said he saw Flex as a threat and if he could get Flex off his game it was good for Shawn. And it worked to some extent. There was a deep, deep seated rivalry between the two, but a love/hate relationship. Flex showed he was paying attention to what Shawn accused him of in his vid "Hardbody", from 1993. He had scrapped his calve and flexed it  and said his calf implants are leaking. Which is what Shawn accused him of.

Now, I have posted a rare pic from the 93 Arnold that shows clear striations and split calves from the back. ND has it, i scanned it from a magazine.

I believe that if Flex was using something in his calves it would have been Escilene, he admitted to using it in his delts in a t formation, back in the early 90's. When I mentioned that if he used it there why not somewhere else, Shawn had agreed with me.

Manfred was a guinea pig for Chris Clark. I am 99% sure that most of those pics are from 95-96. My first bodybuilding mag was a 1994 Ironman, and I read most from the latter part of that yr. No Manfred. Only by late 95 or 96 did he start showingup in mags, in particular Musclemag and Flex. Both did articles or interviews on him. And made comments that his arms were not as hard as Robby Robinson's.

I stand corrected about when Manfred came out
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manfred_Hoeberl?wasRedirected=true
and yes I know Chris Clark was a pseudo, I still think Manfred was a testbed. He has that same synthol look of huge upper arms and small forearms.
