Plus being poor in a rich country, sucks, it highlights how poor you really are, so people overcompensate for it.

excellent point

ya nailed it...except i'd take it a step further. If i were black i'd be pretty mad at 60 mins for doing that special on the black kids that went to harward (the story ya mentioned)  i mean " they find it THAT surprising when a black kid went to harward that they put it on 60 mins" :-\...

i mean kinda sounds like the " so easy even a caveman can do it" commercial dosen't..

as for the other point you had brought up previously about your grandparents...hell my grandparents were treated like shit by the british also (pakistan got freedom in 1947) but my dad still
made it...so thats just an excuse...you yourself are doing well
True, what I'm saying is circumstances. I was taught never to engender or encourage excuses. My grandparents had to work the farm, they had to leave school at a early age, like 4th grade. The time and culture of rural Virginia in the early 20th century was one of hard rigorous work on tobacco farms. Mother's family had certain days one could eat meat. And they didn't know it had snowed unless they saw that it came thru the crack in the roof.   There are circumstances, one adapts to them, but because of that, certain mindsets may arise. If you are taught that you ain't shit, and never will be shit, and your family believes it, and teaches that, when someone tries to break awy from that, what are they label?
The problem with black folk is getting out of that mindset, which is not helped by the Jesse Jacksons or Al Sharptons of the world.

yeah unfortunately here we have the same problem where being succesful academically is considered "being white". Where I used to live in was the highest black population the UK about 65% black, 20% asian and the rest white. Remember being in a Mcdonalds one lunch break and a local school was having some day trip, class comes in 20 odd  black kids, 2 white kids and 2 asian kids and dumb woman teacher. 2 white kids sat together on their own, 2 asian kids sat on their own. The 20 black kids were fully kitted out in 50 cent gear with mobiles, fuck this, guy that, climbing the furniture and throwing chips back at the counter staff, they were only about 12-13 years old.
When I was still at school, college and uni, I remember black kids were nothing like that. Is it a co-incidence that during that time there was no mainstream black culture that promoted a certain negative stereotypical image??
13 years of a left wing socialist goverment who claimed to help minorities, have taken a country with probably the most progressive, most integrated society back then and turned it into a poor mans cultural version of America. They talk about multiculturalism when in fact what we now have is a society with multiple monocultres.

Yet if all the kids stood in line together and acted like robots and all got along, then its of my opinion that we would be that much closer to a totalitarian 1984 style existence...We for sure are on are way to that..."They" are getting to the kids at a much younger age now...

With PG County, Ive had one rule since college. Never trust a PG County girl, they got too much game with them. The black folks there, specifically Gen X and Y, their parents were from DC and had govmt jobs,  so the kids are spoiled kids that want to act "hood". Bhougie-hood, I call them. You see it is prevelant in black America that if you aren't hood, you are black, and hiphop has reinforce this to the point that artists are "studio gangstas", and dudes who are from the burbs gotta get tats and act like they have "street cred", check Kanye as an example. Rather than embrace the concept that their are many diff aspects or lifestyles
of "being black".

This is needed, and until someone breaks that down to these folk, blacks will continue to bring themselves down, it's up to them (us) to bring themselves up.

Mr. Nobody, Oprah can afford more than watermelon now, wasn't it found that watermelon contains something that has a virility boosting property.

You know what is really loopy, 20 somethings infatuation with Anime. And now women want to date Japanese dudes cause of...cartoons?! And when you look at it, Anime portays White people with Japanese names. Even the Japanese consider their own eyes to be "evil" which one of the reasons why they drawn those "cutesy" faces. So japanese cartoons and culture promote wanting to be white, and Americans want to be Japanese or dat Japanese based upon cartoons that promote Eurocentric faces. Makes no damn sense.

How many white dudes with Japanese names do you recall running around Feudal Japan in Samarai armor?

I like nectarines, the hard joints.

Banana Republic was the shit. In the GAP range, they were high end. Now they are the high end side (think STRUCTURE or Nautica), Gap is the midrange, and Old Navy ecompasses midrange and affordable.

Lol at Japanimation. Reminds me of a Anime, Golga 13, which was a Japanese version of James Bond.

Have you seen that afghani version of James Bond? It's very cheesy.

not only the lack of "structures", but the lack of valuable models, tutors. The lack of Fathers.

this is strippers not black people

Strippers sometimes lack more than fathers. Some have fathers, but they want to prove thatthey can make it on their own. And failing at it. Not wanting to go back, yet having no real skills, some start to "shake that money maker" . Some get conned into doing it, or pimped into it.

But I noticed one thing, some of these women can make $10,000-15,000 a night, yet never invest it. Because it is fast money, and they don't have the common sense to realize, "fast money, doesn't last honey"

my mom and dad (i know  ::) ) usually pick up kenneth cole or high end levi stuff for me when they r out shopping but the stuff they pick looks for old people and 9 times out of ten i make em take it back

Strippers are always broke, because they know they can go back the next night and make money. Most all no matter what spend all their money daily. If they could could put some money aside they would have something but 90% blow it all daily.

Someone should blow up one of those bilderberg meetings, then all the world's problems would be solved.

This is an interesting statement......you would think, that at the super elite level, the top echelon, there exists a group whose values aren't so, well, morally f'ced up, evil and self-serving.  That is, a group of good guys with the power and connections to 'take out' some of the scum - Kissingers, Rothschilds, Rockefellas, Head hunchos of IMF, WHO, Goldman, Morgan, etc....most of them Jews too (hey, numbers dont lie)....Bushs', etc.
