Sorry this is happening  :(

How long have you been married?

Is this your first "rough patch?"

'Bout 7 years now.

I wouldn't call it a "rough patch" per se... I dunno. It's the weirdest thing... I'm probably gonna shrug this one off too.

what you are feeling are your natural genetic predisposition-ed urges to spread your seed...It's ingrained in your DNA.even if you have kids and had a vasectomy and don't want or plan to have any more...the uneasy feeling you have is your body's primal scream for freedom...you are likely not an alpha male if you have let your wife keep you in a box and must get into arguments simply to go out with friends....don't feel bad some men are meant to be told what to do & how to live there lives by a female...these men usually have abnormally low testosterone & self esteem.and are without a "backbone" if you will...If you are one of these men my condolence's....

Big L, are you saying you think that happily married men have wives that tell them what to do and how to live?

To me that would be an unhappily married man :(

when I meet a happily married man I'll ask him & get back with ya :D....all joking aside the majority of people I know the wives tend to be quite contolling....and please don't give yourself as an example of a wife that isn't....as I didn't say all..... but with my friends,co workers, acquaintances,& family members that are married the wife is not only contolling but basically wears the pants....this exacerbates the problem as although she is essentially getting her way the wife sees the man (at least subconsciously) as weak by him letting her do this....there are numerous books and videos on this very phenomenon....it is not my opinion but a quite real fact of relationships today....
