Oh, so the rich get good medical care and the poor have to wait in line to hopefully someday see a doctor because they are on crappy socialized healthcare?

Yes , better than nothing.

poor people should be allowed to sell their non-vital organs to rich people for a big profit
that would improve healthcare for the rich and provide some much needed money for the poor

i think in general that would improve the economics of our current health care system

that would be an improvement to what we have now, where the poor go without health care until things are so serious they end up in the ER.

The ER is not the place to find out you have advanced cancer.

And why is socialized health care considered crappy for poor people, but perfectly ok for seniors?

three cheers for universal health care, single payer system, completely government funded, no co pays no prescription charges (unless its a vanity drug or operation).

completely government funded

what is insurance but people pooling their resources together to cover any potential future loses.   the bigger the pool, the more spread out is the risk.  what bigger pool is there than everyone?     We just need a single non-profit insurance company to manage the system that everyone pays into.  the government is a good choice for that, as they've already proven they are very good at managing such policies with the VA and Medicare.  The percentage of each dollar going to actual medical care is much higher for both than any insurance company.   The government is also very good at collecting premiums via payroll deductions and end of year 1040s.

exactly.

its so simple, so clear and easy. but the usa is filled with people who have no idea how to "pick their fights" when it comes to political principles. is goverment funding of the well being of peoples body through medicine any different in essence than government funding of the well being of people through military intelligence??

americas elected officials are so horribly confused and misguided. they have no idea what it means to be a politician

We are the government.  and while it takes a lot of effort, we have more power to get the government to do the right thing than we do to get the CEO of a corporation to do the right thing.  Even more so when the corporation is basically a monopoly.

Apparently ....like Tim, you didn't read the 50 + articles in the link I posted. Seems you're one of the ones who can't fend for themselves and has to depend on government assistance for help. The lazy just keep getting lazier. Funny how someone is capable of benching 350lbs isn't capable of surviving without the help of the government. You live in the wrong country.....so far.

Explain your thoughts.
if it is unrealistic to believe that every person in the united states has the capability to provide themselves with healthcare, then it is the governments role to pool the peoples resources together in order to make it possible for everyone to get healthcare.

that is one of the most basic functions of any government, provide for the people that which they cannot provide for themselves.

Unless they are severely disabled, they have the capability.

Why stop there, why not get it to provide everything else some can't get on their own?

lmao! and how is that? even if medical costs were fair and jusitified, and drugs were priced competitively and cheap, people n minimum and low slary jobs have abolsutely no capability to pay for any kind of real procedures or treatments.

obviously I meant that we should provide things essential to peoples basic rights of LIFE, liberty and pursuit of happyness. its plain to see that the health of a persons body is very closely tied into that persons right to LIFE, as well as the other two since without life there can be no liberty or happyness.
