Jeff Hardy / TNA update....
« on: January 05, 2010, 11:10:18 AM »
We can now confirm that Jeff Hardy?s TNA iMPACT! appearance was not a one-and-out for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

While terms have not been disclosed, the belief is that Hardy has signed with TNA and will make future appearances for the company.

Hardy had a previous stint with TNA in the time prior to his most recent?and most successful?run with WWE.

More soon.

TBH I really don't know. But in today's world, money talks and B.S. walks. They way wrestling is going Mont, we should show up to Raw or Impact and boycott it :)

Just because we could eat a bowl of Alphabet Soup and crap out a better script than they’re coming up with…

Ya’ know – as I was reading Bret’s book, I realized how lame both WWF & WCW booking was leading up to, during, and after that Zahorian trial in '92/'93.
The backstage business was 1,000x more interesting than anything they were doing on the shows.

I don’t think many folks are even interested in the most personal/private of details of today’s roster.
People simply don’t care, and their apathy is overwhelming.
A RAW popcorn match in 1999 got bigger pops than a lot of the title matches put on today.
I don’t know why, and I don’t know who or what is to blame.
I suspect it’s a number of factors.

Bret got the biggest reactions of the night.
You know what that means?
It means that what a former wrestler did 12+ years ago matters more than anything guys are doing today.

Thats just it though. Fans would rather see a guy like bret hart over a guy like the miz anyday.

BTW - good call on Bret's book. I'm enjoying it much more than I thought I would.

Its definately a good read. Some interesting backstage senerios that he reflects on. Especially during the Zahorian days.

More on Jeff Hardy / TNA:

Jeff Hardy had a verbal agreement to return to WWE, so him jumping to TNA last night surprised many within WWE. Vince McMahon was no-selling it today. Hardy has apparently signed a short-term deal with TNA.

Jeff Hardy is now a full-time member of the TNA roster and will be working a regular television and PPV schedule.

- The main reason Jeff Hardy jumped to TNA is the work schedule and is at the point where he doesn't want to deal with the grueling WWE travel schedule. In TNA, he can still remain a top star in the industry and make great money while working and traveling far less.

The mega stars won't make as much. Kurt Angle is the highest paid and makes 600,000 per year with options to make appearances elsewhere. You can google it up. Look up TNA salaries and WWE salaries. Some salaries are from 2004.

Below is the World Wrestling Entertainment talent roster payroll that was taken from October of 2004 until February of 2006. The shown dollar amount beside each wrestler is the grand total that they earned from World Wrestling Entertainment in a one year period (downside guarantees, bonuses, and merchandise shares). Some wrestler's were given special privileges and bonuses in their contracts which can also be seen beside their total pay.
