If im not mistaken the schools that make the BCS championship bowl game earns about $17 million, thats whole lot of money to bring in some highly paid professors to teach the NON athletes

the modern university is one of the most ruthlessly effective Businesses in the world. they charge whatever they want for everything, raise their rates semester after semester for no justified reason, dont really have to provide anything tangible, you may well get nothing in return for the tens of thousands of dollars and years of effort invested in them, and yet are assured an ever increasing amount of customers every year. dont know anything else that works like that. and yet instead of being viewed as the exploitative bloodsucking entities they are, they are seen as these great benevolent, positive institutions. ive never understood all the 'fans' and the mindset of all the students cheering on the football teams, when they are being sucked dry by these places and get nothing in return LMAO the teams are enormous cash cows, the school pays the coach millions a year whilst constantly raising the tuition for all the students and charging them 3x retail prices for everything they need. hahaha what a bunch of gullible patsies.

Certainly - money makes the world go round, like it or not. Look at the the 2 teams playing tonight - they're both in the top 5 of the richest NCAA programs in the nation.

Yeah it looks as if he won't recover in time for a return tonight. My tv was on mute, but it looked as if he ran into a parked truck(Bama's d-line) on the play he was injured. Literally from 10+mph to 0 in a violent way.

I remember Cedric Benson doing the same thing a few years ago but that team had Vince.

Really proud of the way my boys played that second half and if not for that one play before halftime, we're talking about a totally different ballgame. Even before that fumble that finished us off, the team still had a shot to get it done when no one was giving the guys a chance.

It's sad that a great football season ended with Colt on the bench, but college fans got to enjoy one of the best overall seasons ever.
