WHen that tsunami hit Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, who gave more---US citizens, the Saudis barely gave a drop in the bucket, until they were pulled up about it, and then they started giving.

China and Russia want to be the world's leaders, but it comes with a price. China is happy and content that America plays the Policeman and Humanitarian, they just sit back. But if you want to be in the driver's seat, you can't always speed, you have to obey the laws and be courteous to the pedestrians. China hasn't figured that out yet.

China donated $63 million to the tsunami victims. The USA and its citizens gave over $2.875 billion. And that doesn't include all the military ships, supplies and what not that were used. Nor does it also include the thousands of Americans who dropped everything they were doing to go over there and help clean up.

And from what I've been reading, quite a few Americans are already on their way down to Haiti to help again.
