I'm just going to paste my original thoughts on the matter from another thread.
This whole thing is about wealth, if for one second any of you actually believe the governments of any of these countries actually give a fuck about the climate, I have some ocean from property in Nebraska for sale.
Global climate change is just a method where the 1st world commits economic suicide while the real polluters get paid(Turd World)
US and Europe have sustainable birth rates and relatively strict environmental protection laws.
The Turd World breeds like bacteria, and consume their perishable natural resources using State of the Art industrial techniques withoutany legal restriction and everybody uses where ever as a giant landfill.
If the fucking enviro crazies were actually dealing with facts , they'd be for sterilizing the 3rd world at the point of a gun.
But the Third World governments ain't tolerant of that shit, because it means they'd get toppled/hung from a lamp post. And if the eco-zombies go there and push that bullshit, they'd get disappeared and/or beaten with chain, which is a good thing.
So, it has little/nothing to do with actual "protection of the environment" and everything to do with getting paid....at the cost of the destruction of the 1st world's middle class. America has made HUGE real practical advances in environmental protection since the 19th century and we've largely done it based on facts and without destroying our economy. The affluent can afford to be environmentally friendly, always remember that.
