Jets Vs. Chargers
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:09:27 PM »
BWHAHahahahahaha....  I love it.  Best game of the weekend.  Loved seeing Rivers meltdown on that first interception.  Kaeding face after missing the third FG, hahahahaha.....  Looked like he was going to kill himself.

And where were your suckass Bronco's?  Will they even have a team when everybody leaves?

jets = worse team to make conference championship game ever

how many teams have played two playoff games where their opponents miss 5 field goals?

how many played two teams in the final two weeks of the season that laid down for them?

How many teams were on a roll coming into the playoffs and lost?

This year 2.   Not surprised by either of them.

probably not, they just seem to keep self destructing and not learning any lessons.  What's that have to do with the Jets Chargers game?  I can't watch and comment on other games because the broncos suck?  Sorry, no can do.  I like football, can't see what's wrong with that.

Take it easy Hugo, this isn't the political board...... ;D   I was just busting your chops on the Broncos because you started a thread busting on the Chargers...

What would you say if they upset the Colts? Would they still be the worst team to make a conference championship game?

Doesn't make any sense. How could the Jets suck that bad yet somehow find a way to upset the Colts?

I think you put too much emphasis on a team's regular season record. Doesn't matter how many wins it took you to get in the postseason tournament. Once you're in, every team's record is 0-0. Anything can and will happen.

Its hard to name a worse team only because I don't view the Jets as a bad team, necessarily.

The Jets kicked the shit out of the Chargers, plain and simple. They got down and dirty and grinded out the victory. The Chargers are all finesse and wanted none of what the Jets were dishing out. The Jets won and were the better team that day, missed field goals or not.

I hope to hell they beat the Colts. Defense wins championships and the Jets have a good one. It all depends on Sanchez committing critical errors that the Colts can capitalize on.

Huh?  It was 17-14 and the Chargers missed 3 field goals.....that ain't getting the shit kicked out of you......that is beating yourselves, which is what they did.

But they held the highpowered Chargers' offense to field goals during the critical stretches of the game. The Chargers offense got handled. The Jets wanted to make the game a hard hitting grind and the Chargers didn't want any of that.

The Chargers didn't beat themselves, they just got beat. It wasn't just the missed field goals. They forced Rivers to throw two critical interceptions and played great team defense.

I'm sure this stems from you being a Rex Ryan guy and I have all the respect in the world for the Jets defense, but to just dismiss one of the top kickers in the league going 0-3, two of which were well within his range, is overlooking that the Chargers moved the ball all day against the Jets, but just kept shooting themselves in the foot.....did the Jets contribute to that? Sure, but there is no way a game that ends 17-14 can be looked at as one team kicking the shit out of the other.

SD did the annual flameout and played the worst game they played since starting 2-3 and yet they still had every opportunity to win it.

Getting the shit kicked out of you is what happened to the Cowboys..... ;D

all good points and yes...I'm a Rex Ryan guy plus they have a couple of former Ravens on the team. I hope they can shock the world and beat the Colts because the Ravens sure couldn't.  >:(

Your boys HAVE to find a legit #1 WR and their offense would take a huge jump.  Flacco could put up some excellent numbers, but they really need to upgrade.  Boldin would be a good fit.......if he could stay healthy.

I love watching the Jets defense.......except when they were smashing Rivers left and right.......but I'm afraid they are a year away with Sanchez at QB to beat a team like the Colts.

agree with this.  more of a self destruct by the chargers.  I lol'd watching rivers meltdown and the look on Kaeding's face after the third missed kick.  priceless....

No secret about what the Ravens need. But forget Boldin. Too injury prone at this stage of his career(nearly 30 yrs old).

I want the Ravens to make a run at Brandon Marshall. Not worried about him being a head case. Playing on a better team with a better player's coach will do him a lot of good.

If the Ravens get Brandon Marshall this offseason, their offense will light it up. With our young O-line, Flacco's deep accuracy, Ray Rice, and Marshall in the fold.....Man, I only wish....
