so what are you saying? that people shouldn't help animals in need? how do you know those same people that help animals in need don't help humans also? i've been volunteering for three years with a local shelter..and the other volunteers are doctors, lawyers, nurses, truck drivers, salesman, accountants...people that everyday go out and serve others.....so your argument doesn't hold water..it's the typical response when rescuing animals is discussed--why worry about animals when there are so many people that need help--completely moronic.
I'll bet right now there are some figuring out how to rescue dogs and cats in Haiti, LOL!
My point is simple: People take priority over animals. Mistaking that simple truth speaks volumes about people's ability to form lasting, healthy relationships with others.
Personally, I dislike animals and can't think of anything more disgusting than cats but wouldn't harm one. It costs to actually help people which is why so few invest in them.
