Actually George "Junior" is the brains behind this operation.  He actually used to be my boss at Chateau La Mer at Long Island, NY.

Saw the commercial. My impressions: Gay as fuck. Bunch of fat fucks worrying about dogs when there are people starving in the world.

It is proof that we'll watch anything put on television, though. Only a matter of time until we're all watching either paint dry or grass grow and arguing over it. :)

Total bullshit! It's just that people would rather help in situations that resolve immediately and make them feel important. Helping people requires more commitment and doesn't give that warm, fuzzy feeling these helpers need.

so what are you saying? that people shouldn't help animals in need? how do you know those same people that help animals in need don't help humans also? i've been volunteering for three years with a local shelter..and the other volunteers are doctors, lawyers, nurses, truck drivers, salesman, accountants...people that everyday go out and serve others.....so your argument doesn't hold water..it's the typical response when rescuing animals is discussed--why worry about animals when there are so many people that need help--completely moronic.

I'll bet right now there are some figuring out how to rescue dogs and cats in Haiti, LOL!

My point is simple: People take priority over animals. Mistaking that simple truth speaks volumes about people's ability to form lasting, healthy relationships with others.

Personally, I dislike animals and can't think of anything more disgusting than cats but wouldn't harm one. It costs to actually help people which is why so few invest in them.

I respect your honesty but do feel valuing animals over humans is a sign of either mental disease/dysfunction or deep childhood issues.

You have no point...you completely ignore the fact that people who rescue animals are the same people who take care of human beings everyday...humans are capable of doing many things--like helping people and helping animals....

you don't like animals..that's the only reason why you state your idiotic point of view--you make it sound like people who rescue animals neglect and mistreat humans--no one ever said animals take precedent over humans--those people that take a neglected animal into their homes or into a shelter aren't neglecting anyone--their ability to help people isn't hindered because they help an animal in need.

If you were in a life boat and there was only room for one more, would you save the dog or the person?

That's interesting.  I would have asked what kind of dog.  You must be a people person.
