JD Salinger supposedly had dozens of unpublished manuscripts locked away.  Some great literature may be on the horizon.

Salinger was already dead to the world anyways.  A recluse.  And still not another "catcher in the rye" to justify it.

He didn't need another.
He wrote the only work of fiction worth reading.  There's no need to do anything else but sit back and enjoy that you wrote the only book considered a 'Classic' that was able to avoid all the mental-masturbation, thesaurus searching big worded garbage that 'book fans' cream their pants over.

Too much hype.  It's a good book but it's not like you can raise the dead with it.

What book can you raise the dead with?
I think you set your sights a little too high for a novel's worth, fuckface.

I remember getting interested in Catcher in the Rye because of all the assasins, murderers, etc... who had it.  It was a good read, but not anything to wet your pants over.  Has stood the test of time well, though.

Yes... in the Annuls of classic literature, I would probably recommend many other things, before that.

Yes... and sadly that is incredibly absurd thing to say. I am not a big fan of fiction, but there is still a large # of books worth reading from it.
