Im not an Obama fan. Personally I think he is being a supreme douchebag at the moment, and Id prefer someone else. Being elected means you got the most votes. that in itself is an accomplishment, to get the support of the people. especially on a national level.

matt.. he did not "save" 2 million jobs.. no one has been able to varify that number and the administration even admitted it is just a "guess".. others in his cabinet have been on shows saying "thousands" of jobs.. obama is clueless.. he said that if the stimulus package passed that unemployment would not go over 8%.. well a year later we are at 10%.. just last week verizon layed off 30,000 and walmart 10,000.. and that is only two corps.. just last week a democratic pollster said it best  " obama  so out of touch and arrogant about what matters to the american public.. " he is so inexperienced.. and they said palin was not ready

        i agree 100 percent. obama is the opposite of bush, he is well spoken and dignified, but that ain't getting the job done, i think we are worse off with obama in power. he is just a more well-spoken talking head.

I think you guys are confusing "Academic Intellect" and actual "Governing Ability".

Of course we want people who are academically "smart" to govern, but that doesn't mean the smartest guy in school is the best choice.

There is more to running a country than academic achievement.  Thats why Harvard/Princeton professors, Nasa Scientists etc. aren't in politics.

No one here doubts that Barack Obama has impressive academic credentials, but is he good at governing?  CLEARLY NOT.

Its like if you were to appoint a CEO of a company. 

Would you take the guy with no experience, but has a Harvard MBA?  Or would you take the guy maybe with less impressive academic credientials, but has been an Officer in numerous Fortune 500 companies for the last 30 years?

There is more to governing than Academic Degrees.  And Obama clearly proves this.

The guy has an impressive record and has been a Senator for over 20 years.  He understands the ins and outs of politics.
