it was good, but still not all the way sold on the new guy.  Missing some of the intensity and grit of Andy.

I agree but, it's not like there is much choice.  He really did pretty good considering what he had to do and even looks a little like Andy.  It's just awkward switching actors for the main character so I think it'll take a few episodes for this guy to grow on us.  I'm just glad they didn't bail on the show which could have easily happened.

Great season ending!...I though the series started slow and I was losing hope for it but it really picked it up the last few episodes.

Yeah, that was one hell of an ending!  Can't wait for the next season, seems with so many of the main characters being killed off we will have a whole new story next year!

They have already cast the actors that will play Marcus Crassus, and Julius Caesar.  They are bringing out the big guns now.

http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/2012/06/04/spartacus-ending-after-season-3/

The upcoming third season of Starz’s “Spartacus” will be its last, the network confirmed Monday.

The final run, which has been titled “Spartacus: War of the Damned,” will be comprised of 10 episodes that kick off in January.

“It was an extremely difficult and emotional decision for my partners and I,” series creator/executive producer Steven S. DeKnight said. “Yet, in the end, the story was best served by rolling all of the remaining action and drama of Spartacus’ journey into one stunningly epic season that will be extremely satisfying for everyone who’s been along for the ride.”

“Spartacus” stands tall as Starz’s first original scripted series. It became a hit when it debuted in January 2010, then survived the tragic loss of its original leading man, Andy Whitfield, who died of cancer last year at age 39. Liam McIntyre took over the title role in Season 2, “Spartacus: Vengeance,” which averaged 6 million viewers each week.

guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a feeling that it wouldn't last.  Not because of the ratings, but because they couldn't drag out the story much longer.  Will they show Spartacus being crucified?

ok, so what are people's thoughts on this last season?

I've enjoyed it but it didn't seem as well put together as the first 2 seasons.

They took too many liberties with the story. The way they portray Caesar is blasphemous.
