In the book Death of WCW (I think that is what it was called).  They talked about how WCW hired the no limit soldier Swole to wrestle, paid him $275,000 for 10 matches that year and then never used him once.  They also paid Master P over $250,000 per episode and card that he appeared at.

Hmmmm....I don't remember them. then again when I think of the old WCW all I remember is the NWO and its 40 members, Scott Steiner, DDP & Goldberg.

This guy, when ECW came on Sci-Fi channel.  What a career he had, though.

Shockmaster looked like a gay stormtrooper with that sparkly helmet.
I'll bet he didn't think the "Tugboat" gimmick was so lame after this.

I didn't mind him as Typhoon but the other gimmicks were stale and lame.

He played a face well enough - it was the gimmick itself that was tacky.

Tugboat Thomas...
FFS.
Much better as a heel.
Leave it to Dusty Rhodes to book a "Shockmaster."
 Roll Eyes

Once again, I'm at a loss to understand just what the big deal was with the American Dream.
Outside of his program with Flair...
 Undecided

Dusty Rhodes had a killer fueds with Tully Blanchard, Flair, Terry Funk and Harley Race but his most notible was with Flair. It went on for over a year (1986-1987). People loved Rhodes because he was the ultimate face in NWA Crockett Promotions and he appealed to the common folk that had regular jobs so the people really took to him.

I have never been a fan of Cena but he put fans in seats. Even though I never really liked him. He does a terrific job and you can see he takes pride in it. Except for that BS steriod denial interview he did. And also the match with HBK at Mania. He was one of the only guys HBK couldn't make look golden. I think he does a great job.
Cena is defiantely the poster boy for the WWE> He just needs to keep what he's doing and more importantly keep his nose clean.
