How old are you, funk?
I don't want to jump to any conclusions about the number next to your name, but I'd imagine that few of our members will be of age to remember the "Spaceman."

That’s cool. Did Frank work a territory near you years ago?
I remember WCW brought him in for a one-night appearance. The poor guy could barely walk, but he still came out in his cape & helmet. The show must have been in his home town because quite a few people appeared to know who he was & actually cheered him. I'm sure it made him feel good.
By all accounts, he wasn’t too good a worker in the ring – he’d call some spots after they happened. And he never worked in any big money programs.
Bobby Heenan was friends with him and said that Frank had a great love for the circus. He used to dream of performing with them. In fact, at the end of a lot of his matches (which always saw Frank’s boots staring at the ceiling) he'd often whisper to himself, “Shot out of the cannon.”
Bobby said Frank had more than a few odd ways about him, but was a really great guy.

I wondered about that, as I remeber a while back "funk51" posting some pics and talking a bunch of trash, but you always seem so low key now....makes sense.

i live near allentown which was the taping area for all the old wwf tv matches years back. i don't actually remember seeing hickey in person but actually remember him from tv. turco i saw in person. later when i was in college, i went to the old ag hall still there where they still taped the show. guy left me in for free and paid me to take the ring down, he was impressed when i easily carried the ring posts by myself and asked if i ever thought of being a wrestler. had classy freddie blassie doing the vampire gimmick not bit a guy head open that night i might have said yes. as it was guy told me anytime i wanted to come to a show just mention dominic to the door man and he would let me in free and give me 10 bucks to disassemble and load up the ring.

^^Goldust v1.
Then again, Vince gave Terry Taylor (a very good mat worker) a red mohawk and the gimmick of a six-foot cock.

I was more of a NWA/WCW guy. WWF was more of a cartoon.

Areed here. Terry Taylor was always an NWA wrestler and thus not a Vince Creation...therefore used / misused horribly.

Lacy Von Eric. Easy on the eyes....should not be allowed in a ring. She is valet material at best.
