Very true.
newmom is not alone in her baldemania. I have a friend who is the same way. Many women are!
As I told BayGBM in another thread...I've actually never met a woman that disliked a shaved head. What they DO NOT like is a man that is bald, holding onto some amount of hair as if he's clinging to his youth through the 2-3 strands of hair on his dome.
I started thinning around 21, it became really noticeable around 24, and by 27 I had still had hair but people looking up at my thinning pate rather in my eyes when I talked to them made me think "maybe I should try something a bit different."
I was hesitant and skeptical at first. Slowly (over the course of a year or two) trimming my hair closer and closer with a guard on the clippers. At one point, every 3wks I would go to Supercuts and shell out $15 on a trim. Then one day I was outside a bar and my friend says "Why not shave it?" My response- 'I don't think I'm ready to yet.' And he chastised me over and over saying "you're already there! Your head is fine, we can all see you have a good shaped head. Don't be a pussy, just shave it."
I went out of town for the week, spending another $15 on a trim...got home and on Saturday I was in the shower and decided on a whim "I'll give this a try." That was 2.5yrs ago, and I've never once looked back. Never even doubted it. So easy to do, and take care of.
And every girl, EVERY girl I've dated, talked to, shown before/after pics etc....every one of them-without hesitation- agrees the shaved look (being bald, thin or just a full head of hair that is shaved) is what they like. Not just on me, but they say on all men. This is every female I've known, so it's not a fluke, or just women saying this to make me feel good about myself.
*I guess I went long-winded there*
