the only problem is that conventionnal wars dont exist anymore, and that parading well doesnt mean they are trained well or fight well.  The level of experience of the us , uk and most elite european armies is still light years ahead of any army in the world. 1 american soldier must be worth 5 of theirs.

There wont be any world wars like the ones we have known in the past. So these kind of gathering are meaningless, today it only means tons of guys dead at once if the enemy spot em and drop a bomb on the pack. Nowadays it's all about paramilitary polices working in urban environments with psychologists and translaters , and small teams of highly trained special forces speaking several different languages carrying backpacks full of degrees in everything you can think of, working with the support of bots, drones, satellites and spy cameras. Last time i visited Beijing though, i saw ALOT of military that were 2 metres!

I was astonished to see so many tall ones in their military, my first thought was, what are they eating these days?

Maybe they had recruited lot of people from the North.

Even the females in that Military i saw in the airport were tall. Not what i expected at all.

nobody thought the soviet union would be capable of what they did either. started the war being woefully underprepared and underestimated, 4-5 years later they are putting out world class military weapons/machines and had one of if not the largest, most powerful army in the world.  never underestimate a country that is vast in size, with resources, and virtually infinite manpower.
