Arnold did a lot for Arnold, not much for bodybuilding. His only involvement after he retired was with the contest named after him.
He's done very little for the sport aside from that.

I would say that Joe Weider contributed more to bodybuilding than Arnold did, although they both contributed a lot.

nobody got into bodybuilding because of joe weider, arnold is the main reason people got into it
