1. Assclown, we do work with "regular" people.
No you don't.  You work with athletes because they are willing to train.  You throw "regular people" under the bus instead of making an effort to help them out

2. It's not an arrogant attitude, why would I want to work with people who I wouldn't want to work with. After a while you HAVE to weed out the one's who put in no effort and make you look bad. If you disagree with that, then you're just taking money from them without looking out for your own reputation.
I don't "super qualify" my clients and I don't have the luxury of picking and choosing people.  Its my job to give them a proper training sesssion and advise them on nutrition and diet.  If people quit, then it doesn't fall on me because I did my job and it doesn't hurt my reputation because I didn't make the decision.  If you "weed" out people then it ruins your own reputation because you made the decision instead of the client and they'll tell their friends.

3. The "steriod" thing........again, you're an idiot. Why would I sacrifice my livelihood especially when I have high school and college athletes and the NCAA would be breathing down my neck?
Please don't tell me that you didn't use steroids for your last show.  If you had any sense, I would stop or go to a clinic and get them legally.  You're old enough anyway
4. I'm already opening with my existing clientele, my business philosophies have been the same for years, why would I change simply because I am moving into another facility?
Because now you have a much larger overhead as well as no longer having the benefit of getting new clientele from the previous gym you trained at.  That means you'll need to attract new clientele in order to cover the deficit

Vince, you should reduce that $3000 fee you charge for "business seminars" and reduce it to $3.00 then slap the shit out that person who actually was dumb enough to pay the $3.00.
There is actually a huge market for running seminars for MLM/Network Marketing health companies to sell their business opportunities to others.

I've been nice up until now, but I see why Keith thinks the way he does.
You should have taken my compliment of good luck and left it at that but you decided to throw a hand grenade in return.  BTW, Fuck Keith

BTW, for those of you who are wondering why I enjoy the bantering between Goodrum and myself, because in sick way I enjoy owning him day in and day out!
Don't humor yourself and I'd suggest to stand down or you'll get the same thing that happenned to poor little Keith-bar

Anything else, Joe..... ::)

Congrats on the gym.  Couple of questions: will there be bible study sessions in the afternoons?  Are there going to be plasma screens with Hannaty & Glen Beck all over the place?  Will Lori be giving private PT sessions?

Thank you :)

I rarely agree with you because you are a weird person, but the one thing you said earlier is true...Joe's tune is going to change real fast when he realizes that he's not a some super-trainer..... and people aren't going to be banging his door down for the privilege of training at his "exclusive" gym.

I hope he makes it, joe's cool....but that is not realistic thinking right there. If i had to "interview" to be allowed to join a gym...i would laugh in the guy's face and piss on his carpet

This is the gym that I trained at when I was living in California. I was there from about 2000-07. It's located in El Segundo, CA which is about a couple of miles from LAX. Though it was a public gym for all practical purposes it was private. It was not the type of gym the general public would want to train at (no a/c, just 3 bikes and one tread mill). Nonetheless a lot of top atheltes would train there including Lyoto Machida, Jacare (world champ Jiu-Jitsu champ), Dan Henderson use to train there until he moved but still stops by, Frank Trigg use to be part owner and was there everyday teaching classes and training while I was there, Valdy Matyushenko (IFL heavyweight champ) was also there everyday.

The two owners seem to be doing well by the homes they bought and comfortable lifestyle they enjoy. The two pictures make the gym seem way bigger than it is but compared to modern health clubs it's pretty bare bones.

The first pic is from one corner of the gym where the mats are (a corner I was frequently pinned against and tortured). Over to the left is where the free weight area was which included a platform where you could do powerlifting and Olympic lifting and chaulk and slamming the weights to the floor was allowed. As you move right you can see the "cardio" equipment which was three bikes and in back of that some old Nautilus machines included their now hard to find neck machine. Then you have the ring where I would get the carp beat out of me, then more punching bags. It's kind of hard to see.

This is another view from the opposite corner standing in the ring. Again nothing fancy but because of the environment (serious athletes) and having the only power lifting platform in the area, it never hurt for member despite zero advertising, hard to find, very little parking and very consumer unfriendly (they don't really have anybody working the front desk and when I first walked in after being ignored for about ten minutes I got a "Need something? from Trigg.)

The concept wouldn't work in my neck of the woods, NYC, but in an area where high school sports are huge and a lot of kids are looking for scholarships, he might have a shot. Apparently, Coach has a reputation in this area. In addition, given the size the gym, he has to be exclusive because of the limited space.

In any event, good luck Coach.

Like I said, tweety bird chest on a wrinkled, crusty, body with an A shaped frame.  Instead of pressing (humping) the camera to try to look as big as you can, try staying away from it and then take a picture.

See, this is the thing....there are ALOT of gyms that follow this type business, it's nothing new. I guarantee if you were too walk into westside (no, I'm not comparing) and laughed in there face and pissed on their..er, cement floor chances are Louie Simmons wouldn't let you leave without maybe hobbling out..LOL!

Nothing "exclusive" we are just want an atmosphere of hard work and camaraderie to push people hard. I work with a few high school teams (a total of about 120 or so kids). The main purpose of having this gym is so I can effectively train teams. We have training system that works.

NYC would be tough, you would have to have that combination. You guys have some GREAT trainers in the NY/NJ areas that have gyms similar to the one I'm opening.

No kidding. Its not their fault Coach, they have simply never been in a facility like that operated under those rules before.

Right now, the biggest gyms/health clubs in Manhattan are Equinox & New York Sports Clubs. These are "lifestyle" gyms. People go there as much for the amenities as to work out.

That seems different than what you're going for.

Thats a great way to put it. If I can get better results from my client out my little gym with a small overhead then they can out of a 50,000sq ft froo froo gym with a million dollar a month overhead I'd feel like I was more successful. Strange way of thinking about it, but thats just me.

Vince, it would be fascinating to see what it's like to see the world through your eyes. To most people there is nothing about you to suggest that you are a serious wreight lifter but through your eyes you are a competitive bodybuilder that belongs on stage. Pellis carries considerably more lean muscle than you do and is in far, far better condition even whe compared to your contest ready physique.

You actually seem like a good enough guy but your so arrogant and delusional. Don't yuo ever sometimes wonder why you get no respect on this board? Why do you think that is? Are we all rascist? Maybe jealous? Seriously, don't you ever wonder?

It's my understanding that Pellius lives near the beach in Hawaii, and you live in trailer somewhere in the deep south with a feminine homosexual.  Speak on this?

There sure are a lot of troll accounts around here but Pellius does not even carry half the muscle I carry and never will no matter how many drugs he shoots.  And that distended belly of his looks really bad.  Obviously a classic textbook case of Palumboism.  If you notice in my picture...no distented belly with a V taper....

And why would be jealous of internet trolls???  They don't do anything in life, are cowards who hide behind the computer, and they spend way time on it trying to get attention from people like me who have a life.

Now run along to bed.
