Ive ALWAYS done them on Back day. I always try and do straight/stiff legged deads BUT always bend my knees a little, soo your pretty much also working your legs a little too.

So are deadlifts for back or legs?   ???

Depends on the type of deadlift.  I do standard deadlifts for legs and Romanian deadlifts for the lower back.

Also depends on where you are weak and strong.

Deadlifts and pullovers are for back. Specifically, db pullovers are GREAT as a warmup when working lats. They are the equivalent of flyes for pecs. Allows you to pump your lats and pre exhaust a little at the same time. Deadlifts on the other hand, if you do them properly, work your entire back majorly and the rest of your body to a lesser extent. Proper form is a must as is doing them from the GROUND like a MAN not off a fucking rack like jay cutler.
