What do you think about this ?

i like to change my workout theme every 4-5 months, sometimes high volume, sometimes high reps,sometimes combo... anyways, now im trying to just maintain the muscle and up my cardio some more. i dont wanna take a break from lifting,  so i just plan on STIMULATING muscles and not blasting the shit out of it

Day1: Chest/Bi/Tri
Bench Press X5
Cable Flyes x5
Preacher Curls x5
One Arm Dumbell Curls x(3-5)
Tricep Pushdowns x5
Dips x5

Day2: Back/Delts/Traps
Lat Pulldowns x5
Low Rows x5
Seated Military (Front) x5
Lateral Raises X5
Shrugs x 5
Upright Rows x (3-5)

Day3: Legs
Leg Extensions x5
Hack Squats x5
leg Curls x5
Squats x5
Calf Raises x5
Calf Rotators x5

Day4: Chest/Bi/Tri
Incline bench x5
Flyes x5
Barbell Curls x4
Cable Curls x4
SkullCrushers x5
Rope pushdowns x5

Day5: Back/Delt/Traps
Hammer Rows x5
underhand grip pulldowns x5
Military Press (Machine) x5
Front Raises x5
Shrugs x3
upright Rows x3

Day6: Legs
Probably like day 3, with little variation

Day7: Rest

i'll be doing cardio 20-25 mins in the morning, 30-35 mins in the afternoon. Also abs  5-6 days a week.

well candie i was gonna leave that to how i feel that day. if i felt strong that day, i'll go low reps, if i felt a lil tired, i'll just go high rep with lighter weights.

however, my reps will not be lower than 6 or higher than 15.

is that cool?

ummm, isnt that what i just said? depending on my mood that day, i just fuck around with my rep count and weights, but not the intensity. i still get the same soreness and puo whether im doing high or low rep counts.

not sure if your being sarcastic or not. but like i said, this will be a 2-3 month period of just stimulating the muscles ( maintaining as much as i can) while upping my cardio.

i feel it better when i hit each body part twice a week. instead of hitting it once a week with 5 exercises(20 sets), i prefer hitting them twice a week ( 10 sets each).

relax, im sure your bf can stand up for himself. i never said he's not cool or whatever, its just common sense that on a Training forum when someone is asking for an input, you shouldn't reply with just "Terrible", like how the fuck is that gonna help me ???

Ha ha! Yeah, it was kinda short for him.


I'm not exactly trying to "stand up for him" as if there were a fight brewing, I'm just lettin' you know that over time you start to realize who knows what and a little bit about their internet "personality"... he brings a lot to the table.


He can hold his own, I wouldn't attempt to say he couldn't. It's all good, and you are right, this is a much better forum for learning. I have a tendency to fuck around and be a smart ass too, but my intentions are good.

i think that sounds good, as long as your forcing yourself to go hard every workout... whether its 3 rep sets, 6 reps sets, 10 reps sets, or 15 rep sets...

with your split you will overtrain your muscles for a beginner.. try doing something simple such as..

day 1 - chest/tri
day 2 - cardio/abs
day 3 - back/bi
day 4 - off
day 5 - legs/shoulders
day 6 - cardio/abs
day 7 - off

dont flatter yourself sweetheart i could care less what you may say, i only put my routine and philosophy behind it in this thread sort of an FYI, and i said if anyone has any COMMENTS feel free. ACTUAL lifters like candie here know what i meant,offered their input, hence the purpose of this thread, you just STFU and only respond when i directly ask you a question
