Getbig.com board member "Vince G" utilizes deceptive marketing to con prospective clients into believing that he is a qualified fitness professional. Vince G. He strategically places two acronyms after his name, in the same vein as those who have worked hard to achieve accreditation such as an M.D. or a PhD. Neither "CSN" nor "MFT" denote any type of collegiate level accreditation nor any type of nationally recognized certification.

First, let us analyze the latter fraudulent credential since the former has far more nefarious and potentially illegal implications. "MFT" stands for 'Master Fitness Trainer.' There is no nationally recognized master fitness trainer certifcation nor is there a collegiate level accreditation of that same name. Upon searching the internet, one can easily deduce that his MFT "certification" was purchased for 100.00 dollars off of an online testing website racket known as Expert Rating."Vince G.:" Do you let your clients know before they pay you that your only qualification to work in the fitness field comes from an online test off ExpertRating.com?

Now let us take a look at his more nefarious fabrication. "CSN" allegedly stands for Certified Sports Nutritionist. Let us analyze that deceptive title; to be a practicing nutrionist, one must first possess a B.S. in Nutrition and then pass a board certification exam. Since "Vince G" does not have a B.S. in the field, let alone is a board certified nutritionist/dietitian what is he doing advertising himself as a nutritionist? On his website, Caliber Fitness, he states that Nutritional Consultations are an available service - what is the name of the registered nutritionist/dietitian that is working at Caliber Fitness to provide the necessary legal qualification to give nutritional consultations to the public?

No, which is why I'm moving more into retail sales of exercise equipment, supplements, & medical supplies.  I'll prob train for a few more years and that will be it.  I don't see it as a lifelong career

Tell me about it.  I don't have to hide my AMFPT certifications because there are other folks like IFBB pro George Farah who has the same credentials.

People can go and talk about degrees and studying but the majority of my skills in personal training came from 9 years of real work experience.  I did it on the side for 6 years because I already had a well paying engineering job and now that I do it full time,

I do the job well, I have lots of satisfied clients and customers, and I make enough off personal training to make a living off of it.  If you wanna hate on that, then so what.... ;D

9 years experience?  who the fuck are you kidding.  are u saying this what you have acheived after 9 years?   Remember you pass yourself off as a bodybuilder and personal trainer

"Vince" you say (imply?) That you attended ITT Tech for an Engineering degree. Does ITT Tech offer an acredited Bachelors degree in Engineering? Or was this an online "Engineering Technology" degree that you  use to claim you're an "Engineer"?

Are you a P.E. And if so, what states are you licensed in?

ITT Tech schools vary and they only started offering Bachelor's degree's recently at select schools.  I went to class from 12:00pm to 6pm and worked at Fed-Ex unloading trucks from 1am to 8am at night.

nice comparison boy.  I haven't lifted a weight in 7+ years there.  Nice try though.  Face you look like shit and you DO NOT have any experience.  Why do you try to fool people who know.  You can do that where you live but you can't fool people in the real world.  You are a joke

Goodrum has a lot to answer for. That is why I suspected that he was living in a home for the intellectually disabled and the carers encouraged him to get diplomas so he could work in a gym. HR is correct that these online courses are not fair dinkum because people can cheat by getting someone else to write the answers or get answers from Google.

What is sad is that so many here agree with our buffoon and charlatan, Vince G, and consider personal training an easy profession. Gyms are full of poorly qualified individuals with basic certificates that are not professional degrees. You have witnessed Goodrum having sour grapes since he puts the courses down but doesn't have the resources or intellect to complete them. He doesn't work at a job but stays home and is supposed to clean the house while his husband wife goes to work. I call shenanigans on Goodrum who is the epitome of a scam artist and bullshitter.

Goodrum, do you notice the girl laughing at you behind you.  Have seen the photos and video of you.  EVERYONE is laughing AT you.  Cause you are a joke.  You know the funny thing is, I look like shit and I still had some of the best known people in the industry who are my old friends come to my booth and say hi and see how I was doing.  You know why?  Cause they know what I have done and I am respected by the people who matter still even though I look like shit.  That is something you will never ever experience.  You are respected by no one and you never will.  Now that is reality.

So strange and I almost stabbed myself the day Vince made that claim, as I attended a summer program there (I was sort of a science whiz) back in the 80s.

...

1) Vince Goodrum is not in the 'fitness industry'.

2) Anyone buying anything from Vince or listening to his 'advice' gets what he/she deserves

What did you do in the Army Vince?

My MOS was a 31P10.  I didn't finish my tour of duty but I have an honorable discharge.  E-3 PFC, one service ribbon and a Marksman Tag which I could have gotten Sharpshooter had my gun not jammed during the test.  The M-16 is a piece of shit if you ask me.  Worst rifle I ever fired and a pain in the ass to clean with too many small parts that you can lose.

Only reason why I joined was because my older brother joined.  I never should have signed up honestly but its the past now
