He dressed up as Steve Irwin for Halloween for a few reasons. The main reason though was that he hates people messing with animals as he belongs to a few animal rights groups and is a spokeperson for a few as well. I think his quote here rings true- "People who really love animals understand if you get killed by one, chances are you were doing something to it you shouldn't have been".

Obama has stated that if he had it his way, he would do Single-Payer. The problem is that our country and Congress are intertwined deeply with an Employer based system.

Eventually we will have Single-Payer, which as the evidence shows, is THE BEST system not only for savings but for Quality of Health and for Overall outcomes.

The question is just when will enough people have to keep going bankrupt and how many more will have to die?

Billy, you have it backwards and that is not why Kucinich voted for it. Not at all. I can post you Kucinich`s entire statement on the issue- he still thinks its a bad bill, but he realizes that something had to be done to allow a little easement such as getting rid of pre-existing conditions. That will save some peoples lives, but it surely does not take Insurance out of the equation.

The Insurance companies SHOULD be taken out of the equation, they offer nothing but a roadblock to you and your doctor. Not only that, they dictate who is your doctor and where you can go seek treatment.
