Visual renderings of 'super-heros' now come in all sorts of shapes and sizes which now gives every kid in Hollywood the ability to fit the role that once used to be only appropriate for actors who had a somewhat decent build ... (they failed to cast those appropriate super-hero actors in the vast majority of cases though).

So now we not only have super-heros, but we will soon be seeing anti-heros and 'just plain kids'. No muscle bodies required!

And Hollywood seems to like this new 'hero' definition because now they don't have to listen to the fans who demand that the actors who portray their super-heros on screen look somewhat similar to what the original artist had intended.

Now "Kick Ass" will  be seen by millions of super-hero fans tomorrow when it opens nationally.

And it should be a major success and encourage Hollywood to make more like it and use kids or old farts to fill these future super-hero roles.

And that will lead to the 'anti-hero' - a 'hero' with no exceptional abilities who goes around doing comparable super-hero acts without giving a damn  what anyone thinks of his super-hero actions

And right now there is a super-hero script in which all the super-heros are gay and somewhat notorious and flamboyant (synopsis).

Here are some on-line photos of what we used to call 'super-heros' and how the heros of the future will be looking very soon - starting tomorrow in fact.

The first is my good friend 'Supe' a bit bigger than originally intended but this shot was taken 'off season' so he is a bit bigger than most of his friends see him every day.

Welcome to Cultural Marxism...

Yes, I think Supe got thrown through it and it blew up like the 4th of July. But that would never really happen to Supe .... it was just done for that movie....

AND since Parker mentioned "The Authority" .... here's a couple of those front covers ....

But I don't know how it relates to the subject at hand .......

Well, There are two characters which mirror Batman and Superman and their abilities, except that they are gay and are lovers (I haven't read The Authority, Ive only heard about it.)

Spoony, Apparently you have an advanced 'edumakation'. Can you elaborate on that?

Do you personally believe that there is presently an attempt in Hollywood to subvert western civilization with this super-hero/anti-hero kid stuff?

The Southern Poverty Law Center claims that this theory has been taken up by "a number of hate groups".

Would be interesting to hear your opinion on this.

Parker, thanks for tat brief Authority synopsis.

It seems that it would make for an interesting movie script, but even today it might be a bit radical for Hollywood standards (for the majors in particular). Such a super-hero relationship would more than likely be inferred than graphically presented on screen.

But the way the world is heading - it may be a completely different 'picture' in 5 to 10 years.

What is taboo today - is hot property tomorrow and I can guarantee ya here and now that some writer in Hollywood is loading Final Cut right now as a result of reading this super-hero 'conversation'.

Keith, is it possible to register an 'idea' with the Writer's Guild?

That was Ultimate Universe Hulk that shredded Logan...I don't believe they ever concluded that storyline, so somewhere Logan is crawling trying to put himself together again.

PH/WWH was the shit. Long live Greg Pak! That crap that Jeph Loeb wrote afterwards was garbage.

Back to the subject at hand.....

Youz guyz are gonna be surprized when you see KICK ASS and it's gonna be pretty controversial and possibly a whole new series of super-hero kids and anti heros kick'en ass along the way.

Besides that, it raises the 'bar' pertaining to what Hollywood has done in the past and what it will be doing in the future.

There's something happening here.

MEGA, you said "Final Cut, why not Avid or Premiere?    Ideas are not copyrightable. "

Thanks for the copyright answer.

I know a bit about editing (a very little bit) .... and I think that Hollywood has been slowly switching from 'old school' Avid to Final Cut Pro and I don't think (but I could be wrong) that Premiere has ever been in the running within the Hollywood movie industry.

And I know nothing about 'Vegas' but I hear it's damn good too.

My knowledge about FCP is lmited but I have assisted in the editing process with one semi-pro within the editing field and can honestly say that FCP is one hell of an amazing program and equal to or possibly better than the editing process used in the original Star Wars.

Are you familiar with Symphony Video in Burbank? Or Moviola?

I'm not a good movie reviewer but I gotta say that KICK ASS is one of the most enjoyable movies I've seen lately and I place it right up there with Hurt Locker and Magnificent Bastards.

I was somewhat 'shocked' because I didn't expect to see what I did see on that screen and it was evident that the entire audience felt likewise.

But during that showing there was a fire alert and we all had to leave the theater until someone in authority announced a false alarm and everyone rushed back inside to see the final 12 minutes. You could feel the adrenalin flowing and it definitely was not from that false alarm!

It was one of those rare movie moments in which you felt that you were part of something happening that would make Hollywood stand up and pay attention.

Maybe I'm just plain stoopit for liking this movie too damn much, but if that's true, that room was full of plain dumb retards.

Or maybe I'm just too damn sympathetic when it comes to underdogs.

But DAMN! I loved that movie!

i'd love a marvel movie based on planet hulk/ wwh.

sounds like the avengers movie will be a mini version of wwh at least  8)

they did finish the ulimate hulk vs wolverine series eventually.

Issue One
Wolverine awakens to find his lower half missing, his body having been ripped in half by the Hulk minutes earlier. Using his keen sense of smell, he finds his legs have been thrown to the top of a mountain. As he climbs up a mountain to retrieve his legs, he recalls the events leading up to his current situation.
He recounts meeting Nick Fury, Betty Ross and Jennifer Walters, and being told that the Hulk is alive and responsible for several "incidents" of mass destruction after a public "execution" by S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury gives Logan (Wolverine) the assignment to hunt down and "take care" of the Hulk. Wolverine tracks the Hulk to a small Tibetan village, where the Hulk is found lounging, surrounded by scantily clad women. Upon seeing the Hulk, Wolverine says "Hi, Bruce". (In the 2nd issue this line is delivered from another perspective as "Hello Bruce")
[edit]Issue Two
We see the events leading up to the fight between Hulk and Wolverine from Banner's point of view. The comic begins with Banner being left for dead on an off-shore ship, bound to the ground as a bomb looms beside him. He transforms into the Hulk at the last minute, and the explosion fails to kill him. The Hulk swims to Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, transforming back into Banner as he reaches the shore.
Banner finds himself drifting from one lifestyle to the next, forced to relocate every time he loses control of his temper and transforms into the Hulk. The first time, a Parisian psychologist accuses Bruce of not letting himself get angry over losing Betty, calling him impotent and unknowingly calling him "David", drives him over the edge. The second time he is working as a farm hand and his superior mocks him for eating tofurkey, a tofu turkey substitute. The third time, Bruce musters the courage to call Betty once more, only this time a man picks up the phone. He ventures to Tibet in search of the Panchen Lama, a monk along the same line of holiness as the Dalai Lama, who turns out to be a child. The Panchen Lama predicts that Bruce's intentions of being there is to find an answer to his problem with him changing into the Hulk when he gets angry. Panchen Lama explains that it is his duty, upon the Dalai Lama's death, to find his reincarnation, and similarly, it is the Dalai Lama's responsibility to do the same for the Panchen Lama. He then mentions an old proverb about which one discovered the other first, stating that most people know the question in modern times in relation to chickens and eggs. He then poses to Bruce the question 'what if it is not you that changes into the Hulk, but the Hulk that changes into you?'. We then go forward in time to the point in which the first issue ended, where Logan says 'Hello Bruce', the first time we see the Hulk in the Ultimate Universe in a calm, rational state.
[edit]Issue Three
The issue opens with multiple flashbacks and flashforwards to various points during the series, then it shows the confrontation between Hulk and Wolverine from the end of issue #1/issue #2. Hulk and Wolverine have a conversation where Hulk states that he was cured of his anger, (even though as Hulk becomes angrier during the course of the conversation he becomes less articulate) but a parting comment Wolverine makes about Betty Ross enrages Hulk and causes him to tear Wolverine in half. At the top of the mountain, Hulk is waiting and ready to eat one of Wolverine's legs, but before that happens a new arrival is airdropped onto the mountaintop, Ultimate She-Hulk. When asked who she is, her response is simply, "I'm plan B."
[edit]Issue Four
Save for the last one and half pages, the issue consists of progressively advancing flashbacks of the series from the perspective of Betty Ross, including Bruce's attempted phone call and Fury and Wolverine's meeting, before jumping to three days prior to end of the last issue where Betty angrily and unsuccessfully attempts to convince Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to save Bruce from Logan. Two days prior, Dr. Walters has succeeded in producing a version of the Hulk serum which transforms the subject without inducing Hulk like rage, with Betty the next day attempting to convince General Fury that Dr. Walters is seeking to sell the super-soldier serum to the Chinese. As Betty takes a SHIELD jet to Tibet, Fury discovers that the hulk serum has been stolen and angrily orders Betty taken down, but not before she injects herself with the serum and undergoes a graphic and arousing transformation into a female Hulk. After landing and announcing "I'm Plan B", much to the horror of Wolverine Betty reveals her identity, causing an enraged and crying Hulk to state, "Betty break Hulk's heart... now Hulk break Betty!"
[edit]Issue Five
The issue begins with Logan in a dream state encountering a Panda who claims that he is, in fact, Logan's Spirit Animal. As the pair come to blows, the Panda states the fight between the Bruce and Logan is personal and to not tell what the Hulk's last words were to the people who cut off his head. Logan then awakens to find he is indeed reduced to just a head on a tray as an angry General Fury attempts to question him on what happened. Initially claiming he blacked out after the Hulk torn him in half instead of admitting he was awake for Bruce and Betty's rather sexual encounter, after he accidentally reveals that he was awake when SHIELD tried to drop a nuclear bomb on the Hulk, an enraged Fury shoots him in the head.
When Logan awakens again, this time whole, he escapes with the aid of the mutant Forge. Instead of thanking Forge for rescuing him, Logan instead demands the young mutant make matching his and hers restraint collars to subdue the Hulks, letting slip that the Hulk is intending to meet Logan again in Casablanca, unaware that Fury is listening in.
[edit]Issue Six
Wolverine goes to Casablanca with the collar that Forge created for him and confronts Betty. He tells her to put it on but she refuses, turns into She-Hulk, and the two fight. She gouges out one of his eyes, but he stabs her in the spleen and kidney, and forces her to tell him where Bruce is. She agrees, and then turns back into Betty, and Logan leaves her.
Logan goes to the airport where Bruce is, gets on the same plane, and sits next to him. Logan puts the collar on Bruce, telling him that if he turns into Hulk while the collar is on him, he will choke to death. Bruce asks why Logan simply won't just kill him and get it over with, and Logan says that he doesn't want to kill Bruce, he wants to kill the Hulk. Bruce says that he won't change, and then jumps out of the airplane emergency exit in mid-flight. Logan jumps out after him screaming at him to turn into the Hulk or the fall will kill him. Bruce says that he will only change if Logan cuts off the collar, or else Logan will have to deal with the fact that he simply let "Bruce" and not the "Hulk" fall to his death. Logan, not wanting to be responsible for Bruce's death, shows his moral side and breaks the collar. Bruce changes to Hulk, holds Logan, and lands on his feet with no harm to either of them.
Nick Fury shows up and tells them that they are free to go. Hulk, confused and angry, grabs Fury and threatens to kill him. Fury says that Hulk is free, because they now have She-Hulk in their possession, and are trying to reverse-engineer what she did to herself. But as long as they have Betty working for them, they know that Bruce will not hurt them, and will always have an incentive to come back and work for SHIELD. Hulk lets Fury go, and Fury leaves. Hulk and Logan talk calmly about how they are going to get back to civilization, now they are in the middle of nowhere. Logan asks if Hulk can pick him up and jump to the nearest town, and Hulk agrees.
