Puhleez.  Were you happy paying for $5 a gallon gas when bush was in office.  or do you take the bus?  How about how Bush allowed the economy to be crippled and then handed over the country in a huge mess to Obama to clean up.  man what is wrong with american's today.  Short memories are ruining this country.

Posts like this aren't doing you any favors. It shows a basic and fundamental lack of knowledge concerning the issues that you babble about.

Dear Patriots,

Yesterday we met in the park on a warm spring day to discuss our country's future.
I thank you for taking time out of your busy day to stand, waving flags and carrying posters with personal messages. Your signs made me smile because they were so down right clever and humorous and others just plain truthful.

We have a busy six months ahead of us.  I personally feel this must be the Progressives' Waterloo. If not, we may lose momentum and our hopes and dreams for our children and grandchildren will be lost forever.

Pray for our country and the brave warriors, both on the battlefield and in the streets fighting for Liberty and Freedom.

Again Thank you.

If there was a plan instead of "raw anger and emotion", maybe it would make sense.   People are either part of the problem, or part of the soulution.   This is "rhetoric", which amounts to "I am angry, but I have no solution". "We hate "This Person", blah blah blah....  This splinter party is like the "Bull Moose Party", it just puts fuel, on a fire, but does not extinguish it!!!  I prefer coffee!!! :-X

the party, for the most part, and well informed people tired of govt spending.

Sure, you have some who are racist, rude, or complete palin worshippers.  They get most of the attention.  Most of them are level headed, and their platform (less warfare and less welfare!) seems to make sense.

Tre-nugga, these "Patriots" are the same former weed-smokin, free love having, hate the establishment, make love not war, former hippie, me-me-me of the 80s, divorce is the only way out, ill mannered-spoiled brat having, give their children everything except attention and discipline, people. Now all of a sudden they are concern about their country after they enjoyed all the benefits of their irresponsibilities, they drop the ball. And now are pissed, well they have only themselves to be blames...Patriots my eye. Where were these people when shit started to go down hill? I'll tell you where, they were helping to go downhill, by either contributing to it, or saying nothing. America is a reactive country, not a proactive or preventative country...always waiting until things by their own hands get out or wack and then want to do something...

Interesting stuff.

Among the slightly more than 200 people in attendance, there was only one 'Obama is a commie!' sign and I was the only Black (although that could've been true at the grocery store, too).

There was a broad cross-section of folks there, mainly retirees, and the more vocal individuals tended to be the least educated.  A few who grabbed the mic referenced Palin, but didn't go overboard with it.  There were a couple of attacks on Mexican immigrants and 'drug cartels' which led to them calling out the Republican leadership as well as the Dems.

One WWII vet talked at length about bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S.  Another woman (one of this group's organizers) said that American wages are 'going to come down to 80 cents/hour, like China' if we don't repeal NAFTA.  Some of her comments made it clear she wanted to usher in a new era of protectionism.

Although much of the language in today's little speeches was intended solely to whip people into a frenzy, some solid points were made and I was left with the impression that many in the crowd just want less waste and more accountability at all levels of government, starting in our city.

All-in-all, I'm glad I went.  Yes, many of them are a little nutty, but I believe they are open to becoming at least somewhat educated about the real issues and the way things work.

Claire most definitely is not hot.

In fact, hotties were in short supply yesterday.  I'm pretty sure I was the hottest one there (no auto-homo).

I would support this movement if Palin had nothing to do with it. There are several Texas Senators who are wonderful people who are taking part in this group but every time i hear Palin squawk in her awful voice i simply cannot listen anymore. She is part of what is wrong with this entire Nation IMO.

You call bs, but don't give reasons for that. So, I will not name Proactive counties, but I will say this. American culture has been built upon in the last 30 plus yrs letting things get out of hand, like our health situations, our economy, immigration, etc go unchecked until there are serious issues that arise from it. Notice how apparently 50% of out population is fat? And how heart disease is a leading cause of death, but still the same fatasses go to MCDonalds and order the same fattening things, yet blame the fastfood place? And now, obesity is a disease, because people lack the will power to stop sucking up food and work out?

Notice how we used to buy almost everything on credit, and kept thinking it was okay, until that whit went unchecked? Notice how, time and fucking time again, we have relied on oil from oil barons from the middle east and other hostile countries, who care not about us, but the money from the US and  Oil Corp, now all of a sudden a big push foe hybrids and electric cars to promote Green tech---but really to stop relying of
foreign oil. Thus, echoing the "safety issues" with cars from the 70s and 80s, There were cars back in the 70s that had airbags, but Nixon nixed that, saying it wad too costly for the auto manufacturers---thinking about, he set back auto safety tech, 20-30 yrs...and then when shit hits the fan, new stuff.

A proactive country is not a country that sits back and let's shit get all out of hand and then starts going off on a anger tangent...especially a country which prides itself on being educated and giving the piss to anybody who tries to fuck with freedom and rights...A proactive country sees what is down the road and rakes actions and steps to prevent it. A proactive country has citizens that try to preserve something for it's future citizens, not suck everything up, and then when it's gone cry like a baby that has been taken off it's mother's titty.

The baby boom generation has led his country down a perverse rabbit hole, yet they themselves forgot to realize that they sold their asses to the Mad Hatter

So can ANYONE list a proactive country? Surely there are dozens of them (we are aware that America is not one).

Initially, the Tea Party movement was being guided by solid principles of fiscal conservatism, but at some point, it appears to have been derailed by far-right zealots who, because they don't work, have the time to devote to rabble-rousing.

It turns my stomach that Palin has basically taken over this group.

It's such a joke, there will be no revolution, just a bunch of sheep bitching because the economy is bad.  None of these goons gave a shit about big government when the DOW was 14,000 and their houses where doubling in value...

Read my thread on the politics board with Alan Keyes discussing this.

Check this out .....Beck is brainwashing people on a daily basis, does his rise coincide with the rise of the TEa Party...hhhhmmmm. Same guy that said the President has a deep seated hatred for white people. Yeah ... ::) it's not about racism.

"Here’s what I’m thinking is going on: The woman has been trained by right wing media to be so paranoid that she can’t emotionally handle the fact that her refund check was bigger because of the Obama tax cuts, especially since that caused her to feel a pang of gratitude towards Obama, who she know she’s supposed to hate. And she wants to disbelieve her own eyes, but I’m guessing that her obsession with getting a treadmill comes straight from a doctor telling her that’s what she needs to do or else she may be facing even more serious health problems---she mentions that she’s on oxygen, and I think she’s really torn. And she could really use that money. And Beck basically demands that she choose loyalty to right wing media and to paranoid hatred of Obama over her own health and well-being."

Oh come on man.  A lot of these senators in the bible belt came from families that owned slaves, now they are being told what to do by a black man.  You have no idea how hard it is for these guys to admit.  Honestly, 10 years ago did you think we had better odds of having a black man, a woman or a gay as President which would it be?  The idea of a black man in office was not even close to being a reality.  Now it is and a lot of these folks can't stand it.

well lets hope they run Condi Rice instead of palin and the repbs will be a shoe in

its so funny when people confuse politics and economics.

everybody is entitled to their opinions about the issues...

politics is mostly a subjective matter. justice is necessary, freedom a right. beyond that, and even within defining the scope of those two claims, the matter is highly subjective. and thus open for debate.

as for economics, its a science of interaction among labourers, businessmen, corporations, and government regulation of the sector.

economics isnt something you can theorize on without experience and expect accurate results. you could look at a tree and figure out the best way to fertilize, grow, plant, sustain, and get more of them. only with study can it be true.

but yet economics is controlled by politics, people have a right to vote, and thus everyone thinks their opinion matters in economics.

my main point is that this tea party who calls for more jobs, better economy, less taxes...ect. great. but by what pathway? surely none of these people have any idea... all they  are is loudmouthed and arrogant

besides the main issue: third party in america .....     which  makes them totally inconsequential

LOL this pretty much sums up these backwards assholes...if the conservatives had it there way nothing would have EVER changed...we would still be living in little amish style colonial communities tilling the fields all day and reading the bible by candlelight...women would still be second class and FULLY clothed at all times, and there would be absolutely no progress in science (which they dont believe in ::) or medicine
