Did you wrestle any guys that are "Known"??

Nope.  You have to really work your way up a very very very long ladder that led to nowhere for 98% of professional wrestlers out there and I didn't stick around to put up with it.

Unless you're a generation wrestler, related to a famous wrestler, or knock up the bosses daughter, there's not much of a chance of success.

Even if you make it to the top, you usually fall off the ladder pretty quick.  Look what happenned to Andrew "Test" Martin or Scott Hall or Kevin Nash or Kanyon or Crash Holly ...etc.  The list goes on.

So, if not for that, you would have been a main eventer?  Last I checked, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash made a lot of money in WCW back in the day.

Keith, we all know Goodrum is full of shit. How many people does he think he can keep fooling with his claims and crap? You have to admit he keeps coming up with new stuff to impress the flotsam here. This trailer park inhabitant has done nothing much in his life but he sure can tell a good story.

He used to 'warm up' the audience at some hillbilly shows but got soda bottles and rubbish tossed at him. Even the wrestlers hated this big mouth. I bet he is one of those irritating dudes who shouts out in movie theatres!

So that's why?
Mickie was starting a country singing career, but none of the females ever last more than roughly 5 years. They pretty much all implode due to hugely inflated egos.

I don't know much about Kevin Nash but Scott Hall was friends with Dusty Rhodes who helped him break into the business.  I don't know what they made back in the day but now they are pretty much on skid row.

However, hardly anyone in wrestling is really getting any good pay.  The people who got the real money were the promoters and that sucks.  All that money floating around and wrestlers got nothing but the dog scraps off the table.  No different than bodybuilding.

Some guys like the Rock and Booker T had outside ventures and invested the money they got but others weren't so lucky

I hardly keep up with wrestling because right now because there's really no reason to.  I've not even watched wrestling on TV in about 3 years.  But I keep in touch with friends who are still running around every weekend to wrestle at some dirt town.

I'm not giving you the inside of the business but just the stark reality.  Behind the lights and the cheering fans there's nothing but a hotel room with bottle of alcohol and tons of painkillers for most wrestlers.  I wish people would go watch that "Wrestler" movie with Mickey Rourke because that right there is pretty much the jist of the business

This is all very interesting Vince.

Growing up, I watched wrestling with friends and I was always excited to see the big names like Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Superfly Jimmy Snucka and a few others that would highlight over the years.

Tell us more about the little man in the business, the "jobber" as you would call him.  Tell us about the trials and tribulations that a "jobber" would go through, the drug abuse, losing his friends, the issues with his long-lost daughter and that of screwing random hookers while trying to get one particular stripper to fall for him.

I always wondered where all the fallen cowboys have gone over the years.

Its a movie not a documentary so some stuff is put in there for effects.  They got one documentary out called Bloodstained Memoirs if you're looking for the gospel.

Ok since ECW "folded" the rosters have been jammed pack (Raw/Smackdown)

These are just rumors

Mickie James -yes was trying her hand in Singing but did not have the "Diva" look as her body had changed over the last few yrs

Shelton Benjamin - Never took his game up a notch, no Mic skills, great wrestler but we know in todays marketplace need to be skilled on the Mic and Wrestle. I can definitely see Kurt Angle bringing him into TNA

Mike Knox - Tried to make him a big wrecking machine but again no mic skills and "wow" factor...no big loss

Jimmy Wang - Asian with a cowboy gimmick..cmon now....also a small guy

Funaki - probably the biggest surprise as he was a true team player

And Vince...being a 2nd generation or sleeping with bosses, daughter is not all it takes.....Look at people like Batista, Edge, Jericho....had nothing given to them, paid their dues and are now top draws

what i would like to know is how, and why, is the steroid policy selectively enforced

the bigger name draws like randy orton, buatista, and of course HHH are obviously on liberal amounts of anabolics and have been for years

but other guys are getting in trouble

is it as simple as vince or other brass fixing the tests for the big stars, or is it more of an unspoken thing, or is a doping thing where the top guys now have go to extremes to pass drug screens??

My guess is that the steroid testing policy for big stars is similar to a scene in the movie "Back to School."

Vince: Batista, are you on steroids:

Batista: I can't lie to you, Vince. No!

Vince: I'm satisfied.

Scott Hall has battled personal issues, but Nash is hardly on skid row.  You have no idea what you are talking about.  Both hall and Nash waived clauses that would allow for Bret Hart to join WCW and make a higher salary than they were, which means they were very well paid.  Hart was alleged to get 3 million per year while in WCW.

There are thousands of wrestlers out there that have paid their dues and continue to do so without ever making it and even if you "make it", you can still come out on the losing end.  I'm not going to sit here and debate over an industry that I no longer actively participate in for almost a decade.  I still love wrestling but not as much as I used to.  Once you see how you "top draws" are really living, then you'll know what I mean.  If you ever go to a fan signing event or even a IFBB event, you'll run into a few like Cena for example who I ran into a few years ago.  Go talk to them about "the business" or better yet visit a wrestling school

I can assure you that Bret Hart wasn't making no fucking 3 million at WCW...... ::)

As far as Hall and Nash are concerned, they are most likely living paycheck to paycheck.  Just like bodybuilding, salaries are greatly exaggerated and don't even take into account that they are independent contractors which means they have to pay everything out of pocket from health insurance, travel, lodging, meals, etc and consider that they wrestle over 300 shows a year.  After its all said and done, there's not much beer money to go drinking with

Those are definitely pictures that I won't be publishing ever because I had a perm at the time when hair still grew well on my head....... ;D  My short lived time was forgettable and doesn't mean nothing to me anyway.  I only keep in touch with a few friends I made, don't even watch wrestling, and quite frankly don't give two wet shits about it.

Until the WWE, TNA, and other promotions start taking better care of professional wrestlers, not ripping them off on money, and not making them do things at the risk of great bodily injury, I won't be a member of any wrestling fan club whatsoever.
