Wow Salt, truely sorry indeed. I cannot imagine what that was like. Just reminds me of seeing Grandpa pass 2 years ago. When he was on life support, I leaned over and whispered in his ear, that he lived a long, happy life and I and my daughter were proud of him..he started moving his hands, then I said Grandpa don't fight it, Grandma has been waiting for you for five years. She is anxious to yell at you (they were married 60 years when she passed)..he opened his eyes and smiled. Few hours later, as per his health care power of attorney, we took him off life support. As coming back to the hospital with my daughter (didn't want to her to see him with all the wires) and we pulled into the parking lot, I got the call he was gone. 90 years old and held out as long as he did.
