TA has repetitiously advocated on behalf of pesticides here, often outright mocking anyone who has the slightest concern over pesticides....

In trying to call me out on my gardening, he let this gem slip:

The object of course is to use as little as possible(pesticides) and companion planting makes that possible.  Industrial Farming makes use of this concept as well.

Industrial farming by and large does not make use of companion planting.  This is bullshit by TA.

So TA, this is what it looks like when they spray pesticides here.  You advocate limiting pesticide use for your own garden, but you think it's stupid to be concerned when purchasing conventional produce from the store?

I say you back up your beliefs and spray your own garden with an equal ratio of what we get from conventional crops in the stores.  Nothing overkill, just the recommended spraying as directed by the manufactuer.  Why would you be worried, or is it that all this time you've been telling us to not worry while you're limiting pesticide use for your own eating?

It is in baby food, unless you pay more for the organic.  In the other thread I posted a few studies that show children are at the highest risk of adverse effects from pesticides.  but that's not something TA would give a shit about.  He's best at thinking of himself only and of course quoting material sponsored by the pesticide industry.

cut the bullshit.  I didn't suggest otherwise!  This is based on your clearly stating the goal is to limit the use of pesticides.  You're suggesting that's what you do for your personal consumption from the garden!  As I've shown above, that is not industry standard.  So while you eat trying to limit the use of pesticides as you stated, people buy produce with the full recommended applications, which you have spent a great deal of time here advocating the safety of!  If it's so safe, what are you worried about?  let's see you spaying your own garden like others would get from the store!

you want to really research this TA, research how much money a company like Monsanto puts into Universities and other instititutions.  especially in schools with big ag programs.  Then spend some time researching the revolving door between these companies an government and these institutions.  Then come back and tell me there's not a conflict of interest in these "studies" you're posting...  I've posted on it before via my own research.  You just google and post the first found item without knowing the background I spent the time to research.
