Bob, listen to Derek Anthony's radio show and hear them talk about introducing themselves to you then minutes later you had forgotten that you had already just met them. I heard you were a nice guy but not the brightest in the pack. Guess that is why others use you because all you need is a badge and some authority and your head swells several sizes. Seems to me you have memory lapses already. Or could it be you are so self-centerred that you don't care about other bodybuilders and can't even remember that you just met them! What a stooge.

You know Chick better than his shrink!  ;D

I'm sure since you've taken this stance and formed your opinion, that you can readily list the proposals and changes I've had approved over the last 4 years, right?

Yes actually.  We've been through this in a thread about a year ago.  I never said you didn't get anything done.  That's two different things.
IMO opinion the athletes rep as defined today and how it should be defined are two different things.

Example: Can you show me a handbook or bylaws of being an athletes rep?  Answer: There is nothing because at the Olympia back in 01 I believe it was in the press conference when Titus was trying to go, Demilia was making things up on the stage...I was there and I believe you were also.

As an athletes rep, what if you were to disagree with something the IFBB wanted to enact, then what? How is that resolved?  Bodybuilders have ZERO bargaining power.  You can argue but the IFBB ultimately has the final say.  In order to argue effectively the bodybuilder should have someone with a law degree that has worked with athletes before and leagues before...I know you'll be 100% against this but this person would be a Athletes Rep/Union Rep.  This person shouldn't have the ability to run wild and go unaccounted for.  There should be meetings at least twice a year at the big shows at the Arnold in March and the Olympia in September.  All things said or info changed in these meetings should be confidential between the athletes and the athletes rep.  Manion, Weinberger or anyone else shouldn't be allowed in these meeting (I only bring that up because I don't know if they are allowed in) out of fear of reprisal so athletes can speak freely.  There should be a term limit for the athletes rep and they should have to be elected or re-elected every 3 years or 4 years).

There needs to be checks and balances...As of right now, The IFBB is the Executive Branch, Judicial and Legislative Branch.

The athletes rep position should be a paid position. Athletes would have to pay dues etc...BTW there should be a bodybuilder code of conduct and anyone in violation should be fined or suspended i.e...stripping, porn, selling or using RECREATIONAL drugs selling performance enhancing drugs, domestic violence and other crimes.

I could go on forever...

Can you imagine being a top 10 Olympia guy? When you have been around for years you know the placings are inconsistent. Even the bodybuilders don't know why various guys win half of the time. If you do or say the wrong thing you can get the shaft. Witness what happened to Dexter this last year. Who would have predicted that? In a climate where small things make or break you the last thing you need is to be outspoken or controversial. So, smart guys tow the line and listen to the officials. They really do behave like sheep because the judging process isn't transparent and fair dinkum. They have an unelected rep because no competing bodybuilder would be that stupid to do such a job. Only an insider like Bob is given the job because it makes him sound important.

Nothing is going to change in this controlled men-in-thongs pageants. The rewards for the top few guys is sufficient to keep everyone in line.

Has Bob been appointed athletes' rep for life?  :-\   are you saying that Bob have a limitless term and there's no plans for the position being up for election?

Lol, the only dues the "athlete's" pay are the ones to the IFBB to keep their pro statis.
