Heavy Duty By Michael Mentzer
Which is only correct method for natural bodybuilder, and which will give you greatest results, IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. What comes this "calorie is a calorie"- genius who is incapable to follow any instructions, even very simple ones like "shut the fuck up", there is no hope in this world. Why? You need some intelligence if you want to build your muscles, and he doesn't have any. In past four years he has proven how stupid he is and now he want some help from Vince, who couldn't care less. Gee, I wonder why...
Bodybuilding is quite simple and easy but still most of you doesn't understand it. You need a pile of instructions and programs and you read them from the magazines and these forums. 80% of you follow the program which you have read somewhere without knowing is it suitable for you at all. Instead of that, you should use your so called brains and think about the matter. What you really need? Few basic exercises per muscle group, good range of motion and good technique. You also need to know your muscles and what is the propose of them. For example, how about the abs? If we simplify hell out of the matter, their purpose is scroll your upper body around your belly button, so which is better exercise, sit up or crunch? For sit up you use 40% your abs and 60% your hip flexors, and with the crunch you use 80% of your abs and 20% of your hip flexors, so do the math. It is useless to try to work out your abs with the exercises where your middle section is complete flat, because there is much better ways to do it and you benefit more with them.
Your latissimus lift your body up when you hang with your hands in branch of the tree, and that is what it does best, so why 80% of you do bent over rows while standing almost straight up? You need that bend over posture to make most of the movement with your latissimus, not with your traps and strength of your upper back, because there is better exercises for those muscles. And when you hang on that pull down machine, try this: Instead of how you usually yank the bar down while leaning back as far as you can, just sit straight and while you pull the bar down, bend your upper body lifting your chest and pulling your shoulder blades together. What you find out is that you cannot use as much weight, which means that your latissimus doesn't do the work when you use your old method, so how it could grow? What I am saying here is best advise you can get, and it mean that you must go back to basics, and that is all. You don't need any super special hyper pro moves to grow muscles, so you save a lot of time if you learn the basics and do them right. Then, when you reach your limit and you have full and big muscles, you can make a most of them by using some tuning exercises, but you really don't need those any sooner.
