why it's always said that "calves are all genetics" as if other parts like chest and arms are not "all genetics" too!!..

i believe this is because ppl who have great calves genetics always have great calves just from walking even if they never enter a gym in their lives!!.. on the other hand those who have great biceps genetics for example will never have great biceps unless they train!!..

even the laziest person in the world walks every day but no one who doesnt train does any continous pull or press movements with his arms in his daily activities unless he is a buildings constructor or something of that sort!!..

yes if you have great calves genetics do any shit in the gym and they will be GREAT but if you have shitty calves genetics you have to try everything with them and the best you can get is just "ok calves"!!.. this is in case they are shitty only but if your calves genetics are VERY shitty you will NEVER get anything whatever you do!!.. coleman is a very clear example, as a mr. olympia sure he tried everything to improve his calves but still with all what he tried and with all the roids he took he never had them good!!..

i know you have good quads but what about your calves?!.. the same level??..

yes you must stop ignoring them!!.. in any case they will definitely be better than what they are now!!..

i too always had very shitty calves and after i stopped ignoring them they have become now shitty only without very ;D ;D

I just hit calves for you man. Did standing calf raises on a 10cm thick book 3 sets of 12 ONE foot at a time with my bodyweight. My calves are 15 inches  :-\..

Hey, my calves are the same size, it's good size believe me.  ;) I think I would fail with those one legged calf raises, I have never done them because they are so hard.  ::) Stronger calves might assist in the squat and make one faster runner, I should do them.

xerex i just measured my tight and it was 59 cm cold!!.. so will be +60 after one set of squats :P
