I think an RV would be sweet for trips, vacations, etc...  Not have to rely on it totally, but if you wanted to just take a leisurely jaunt around the countryside to observe how the others live....

‘tis better to rent one for the few times you will really want one and make use of it.  They tend to have mechanical problems that consume lots of time and money—even when they are brand new.  Renting largely saves you from those hassles.  Plus, when you rent you are not stuck with any particular set of features, luxurious, or amenities.  You can get something different/better each time... sort of like dating!

must be expensive to buy it like that, you would save 4/5 of the costs if you done it yourself, like a project, always nice to have it if you have a big backyard, like a gues-house or for chillin, comes in handy too if you need a break from the wife.
