I hear that all the time. But these are the same people who think kids should be shelter from violence. What would bother you more, if your 12 year old got into a fight or had intercourse?

There is something about age appropriate behavior. Private behavior. Being discrete about certain practices. Would you want your 12 year old daughter sleeping over a friends house if you knew the parents and children walked around nude? Would you have sex with your wife on the couch with your 15 year old boy right there? Would you start jacking off to porn as your daughter was sitting there doing her home work?

Is it really necessary and good to put every form of behavior out in the open for the world to see? The radical "openess" vis-a-vis sexual behavior makes it common place and nothing special. It trivializes it. And of course the mainstreaming of porn has led to the degradation of our culture. The sexual practices now considered common I would never have imagined if I hadn't seen it. Bukake, pissing, DP. And the most popular forms of porn (I have a friend who works as a camera man on shoots and porn star "Mr. Marcus" use to train at my gym when I was living in So. Cal) involves degrading women. Pulling hair, spitting in their face, forced sex, gang bangs, doing girls made to look like little kids....

I don't know how old you are friend, but anyone that is over forty has lived long enough to be able to compare the kids today to how they were when they were in their teens and its like night and day. Even the idea of a kid taking pics of themselves nude let alone showing it to their friends never even entered one's mind in my day.

The problem arises if the only sexual activity kids encounter is porn. They should be educated and taught about sexuality even before they are let to use the internet on their own. So the answer is definately not to keep it all hid.

first off calm down there, you sound like a real junkie or like one of those recovering alcoholics that walk around preaching on how they found life and god and how everyone should meditate do yoga and become spiritual.

Normal sane men understand what porn is and what real life is, if you can't grasp it then stop watching movies altogether or you will think that superman is real and you might start jumping off buildings, in addition avoid the crazy video games or you will start driving 600mph.

Sane people understand that the girl in the porno isn’t really a housewife, and that the milfhunter isn’t real, and that regular non porn chics are not ok with ass to mouth all day and night.

Stop blaming porn on your problems; imagine a world with no porn, more stressed people walking around, etc. People can play out their fantasies by watching without going out and doing it, less STD's etc.

Porn is good for you but again if you are a stupid weak minded person, lock yourself in a room and don’t come out, everything out there might influence your weak brain to do crazy stuff.

Thanks for telling everyone here you are a weak minded idiot.

this is where you re wrong. The numerous examples of charlie sheen, tiger woods, kobe bryant and tons of other actors, politics and sportsmen who are multi millionaire - do they live like 16 y/o "nerds" to you ?  ??? - and fell for porn addiction are staggering. Some scientists to day start going even further by saying there's a link between the explosion of divorces and the emergence of internet porn and a growing number of occidental males getting addicted to it in the last decade.

Fact is it can happen to anyone, wether you re a lonely virgin teen, a politician, a rich actor or a nba or nfl player, an entrepreneur or a plumber, every male can fall in the trap of porn addiction.

You seem to have a problem with reading too many books about human psychology and then spreading your newly acquired knowledge on internet message boards. This is occupying too much of your time and is surely a destructive element in your personality. Think of all the things you could have achieved if you weren't obsessed with this behavior.

You my friend, have a douchebag addiction.

Look, this kind of discussions are interesting to some, and uninteresting to others, just dont read it, who forces you to read it? What's so hard to understand; you cant deal with some serious questions, just gtfo , im sure there are pics of gay men somewhere on the board to please you.

I do notice that when I look at lots and lots of porn I kind of get desensitized to it.

If I stop looking at porn for a while then even seeing a picture of a woman in a bra or a bikini is enough to get my heart racing. And when I see hot women on the street it has a much bigger impact on me. In general I just feel like hot women have a bigger impact on me,

When I watch tons of porn all the time, I just get desensitized to it all.

Right now i'm on a "pictures only" phase. Where I only look at pics and not video.

I just watched Cherokee D'Ass get boned by Shorty Mac, very good scene. Xerxes, you should check it out on spankwire. Two freaks of nature, one known for her ass (they took it off your avatar) and the other a short dude known for his extreme girth...

A lot of you will need to consult for sex addiction in the future, cause years of internet porn will slowly destroy the quality of your behaviors , relationships  towards and with others and especially young girls -eventual daughters- and your wives / girlfriends.

I came to the conclusion that almost every single individual on this board is a full blown or a future addict. You re sick, but you dont know it, as it is a new, recent phenomenon linked to the emergence of the internet. You also excuse yourself and each others in order to bask in your bad habits and not change em.
"hey nobody has proven it's bad, so it must be good!"  ::)

Just because one of the main problem with sex addiction , internet porn, is that it ultimately leads to insatisfaction towards what you have and adulterous behaviors should make you think twice about it.

Look for "sexual dependancy" "hypersexuality" "porn addiction" on google and you ll find out easily what's wrong with your daily habits and how it will affect your life in the long term.

Prevention is better than cure...

I watch plenty of intrawebs porns, but can also subsist entirely on memory wanks if needed so I figure I'll be okay in the future  ;D

if some of you missed it -obviously-

it's none of my "invention":

the social cost of pornography

http://www.internetsafety101.org/upload/file/Social%20Costs%20of%20Pornography%20Report.pdf

Quote
THE PECULIAR NATURE OF INTERNET PORNOGRAPHY
MAKES ADDICTION MORE LIKELY

this increasingly visceral experience has lately been further explained
by contemporary advances in neuroscience. One scientist describes it as
follows:

Pornography is more exciting than satisfying because we have
two separate pleasure systems in our brains, one that has to
do with exciting pleasure and one with satisfying pleasure.
The exciting system relates to the ‘appetitive’ pleasure that we
get imaging something we desire, such as sex or a good meal.
Its neurochemistry is largely dopamine-related, and it raises
our tension level.

Thee second pleasure system has to do with the satisfaction,
or consummatory pleasure, that attends actually having
sex or having that meal, a calming, fulfilling pleasure. Its
neurochemistry is based on the release of endorphins, which
are related to opiates and give a peaceful, euphoric bliss.
Pornography, by offering an endless harem of sexual objects,
hyper-activates the appetitive system. Porn viewers develop new
maps in their brains, based on the photos and videos they see.
Because it is a use-it-or-lose-it brain, when we develop a map
area, we long to keep it activated. Just as our muscles become
impatient for exercise if we’ve been sitting all day, so too our
senses hunger to be stimulated. The men at their computers
[addicted to] looking at porn [are] uncannily like the rats in the
cages of the NIH, pressing the bar to get a shot of dopamine
or its equivalent. !ough they [don’t] know it, they [have] been
seduced into pornographic training sessions that [meet] all the
conditions required for plastic change of brain maps.19

Quote
. . . lest pornography get written off as a “women’s problem,”
consider the extensive effects of pornography on the primary
users, men . . . . Countless men have described to me how,
while using pornography, they have lost the ability to relate
to or be close to women. They have trouble being turned on
by “real” women, and their sex lives with their girlfriends or
wives collapse. These are men who seem like regular guys, but
who spend hours each week with porn—usually online. And
many of them admit they have trouble cutting down their
use. They also find themselves seeking out harder and harder
pornography.20
The combination of hyper-realistic imagery, moving pictures, and rapid-fire
bombardment of images appears to mean also that chronic consumers both
become visually desensitized, and find themselves viewing depictions they
themselves would once have regarded as taboo or off-limits.
This de-sensitization brought on by the barrage of imagery is familiar among
therapists. One phenomenon described numerous times at the consultation
was the way in which images that would initially disgust the viewer—including
unwanted pop-ups such as child pornography or violent pornographic images
encountered during the search for non-violent images—lose their ability to
shock and disgust over time.

Quote
Most notably, and most alarmingly, numerous users have described both to
reporters and to clinicians the apparent slippery slope from using pornography
featuring adults to using child pornography

You get obsessed about the sexual part of the relationship and tend to lose any interest in the other parts of it that are devaluated in your eyes even if they keep being important for your partner -who stays balanced in her view of the relationship- all that matters for you is to  satisfy your impulse

You’re a woman, I’m convinced. uberman = female.

This is true. I worked out what uberman is talking about regarding porn a long time ago, using both logic/common sense and breaking down what regular pornography usage is all about in terms of human physiology. I also had a psychedelioc experience which further opened my mind to what excessive porn use does at the subconsious level.

These days I keep porn usage to about maybe one day a week or less. It true though about the sex drive increase with less porn.

Yes, it sounds like someone who worked in porn, got too old, then, became an anti-porn crusader, much like the recovered junkie who goes on to become a drug addiction counselor.
