....and instead live a spiritual and righteous life.

Bodybuilding is not spiritual or righteous. It's time I man up and do the right thing with myself instead of this unhealthy bullshit.

It's time to transform my spirit, and keep my body healthy instead of eating like a pig to gain weight and focusing my energy on m body, which is a superficial object.

I know the right path. Now I must walk on it.

Giving up on bodybuilding?  Isn't that like me saying I am giving up on dieting?  It never started

ShipSekki, spiritual leaders are no closer to the truth than you, me, or anyone else on this forum. Truth is very subjective. What is the Truth to some, is not the Truth to others. Reality is perceived differently by many people. You go right ahead in your quest for spiritual enlightenment. However, this does not mean you are closer to the Truth than anyone else. It doesn't make you better than someone who wants big muscles.

Hope this clears your delusional mind.

There are a few things that made me make this decision.

First, I went on a few introspective psychedelic trips about a month ago and they really tore my ego apart. I was in pieces for weeks afterwards. Anyone who has every been on a hardcore psychedelic trip can probably relate. It's like your personality gets destroyed.

In the past week i've kind of been grounding myself again from it. And I just can't really fit this bodybuilding shit into my new vision of life. It just seems so gay, narcisistic and superficial. Most of the dudes in it are fucking baffoons, chasing materialistic dreams. You sacrifice your health and your spiritual integrity for muscles basically.

Also i've been going to the Buddhist temple and learning about the path of Buddha. It's making me see a whole new horizon. I knew all about Buddhism and different spiritual paths for a long long time. But now i'm seeing it with new eyes.

Being totally serious here. Most f you all probably can't relate to this at all i'm sure, but I don't give a fuck.

buddha speaks the truth - not everyone with ears can hear though.

you're a weightlifter then. bodybuilding is to participate/prepare/pose in a bodybuilding contest.
anything else is weightlifting. you don't do alot of things you would have to in order to compete.
nor are you capable with your idiot diet and apenis worship

I don't think the OP was talking about competitive bodybuilding anyway,
but to get from weighlifting to (natural) bodybuilding you only need to control calories.

Sometimes what feels good in the short term just isn't good in the long term.

Sometimes enjoying shallow pleasures can keep you from enjoying deep pleasures.

You just gotta look at everything logically and see it from every angle. See where it will take you. Understand why you are doing it consciously.

naaah man, you didn't read my text right.

I said some people whanna enjoy what feels good right now but acknowledging that it isn't good in the long run, but not care about it. That's the point, do what you like and not judge others for doing it the other way. Like sleeping with other mans wife for example... do it if it feels good, if you acknowledge same time that her husban would be very depressed and miserable afterwards and you STILL feel like helping her cheat him, then do it.

And if you think logically everytime you would have to do cold blooded decisions all the time not thinking about emtions.

The point is, some people want to do things that give them ecstasy knowing it's bad in the end, but not care about it... enjoying the sensation and not careing about the negative... some people live like that and that's good, it's honesty

nonsense.

thats the words of an ego.

ego's hurt others and ultimately hurt themselves.

i hope you still think its god like when some dude fucks your wife, and understand because the guy was simply being honest  ::)

i have to laugh at the sheer ignorance and stupidity displayed by these 'devil' worshipping types that think its ok to take what they want when they want, and try to justify it via any means

then some bigger stronger more evil dude comes along and makes them their bitch.

these same types are exactly the ones who cry and claim life is not fair - and in actually blame these 'unfair' things for them being the way they are.

well i'm here to tell you - the lies stop here and now.

you don't like life - change it by changing yourself.

Exactly.
Very few people know that this world is perfect.
If you live right, you always feel good.
If you feel good always, you do right always. ;)

Not gonna flame you about bb and your build and whatever your plans are. But you talk about what feels good now but might not be good in the long run yet talk about experamenting with physcadelics? If thats not something that makes you feel good and is bad in the long run, what is? What were you doing that was SO unhealthy to build your 170lb body by the way?

This is very true. But the truth is, focusing on your body and the aestetics of it is something that person just naturally loses interest in if they become spiritually evolved to a really high level.

It's not that you should quit bodybuilding to become spiritually evolved. It's that if you start to become spiritually evolved your interest in bodybuilding will naturally fade out.

buddha speaks the truth - not everyone with ears can hear though.

I'm not a Buddhist though and I don't believe in 100% of Budddha's teachings. I don't believe in reincarnation for example. But 95% of Buddha's teaching are very good tools to use.

Native American shamanism and Hinduism have also had a big impact on me. There are interesting points to all of these paths.

Have you ever taken psychedelic drugs?

If you take them in moderation they will have just about ZERO long term side effects and the risks associated with them are very low.

Human being have been taking psychedelics since they first walked upright.

Maybe you've been brainwashed by DARE?
