Don't compare me to Evan im not sure what he takes to stay that big and lean! whatever it is im not taking it!.

You think i need to drop 20lbs from this pic to get into condition?. You can see my xmas tree in my back.  My legs hold water, and fat they're the last to come in, i just need to diet longer which i have done this time.  So no i wont take your advice.

Again,your upper body is amazing
But unless you hit your knees with a sledgehammer and compete in a wheelchair then youre fucked

Some people are never able to truly self-evaluate.  You don't have to convince me, I couldn't care less about your legs.  You posted pics on a message board where critiques are going to be given.  I realize you only want to hear people say that you look good, but some people are going to tell the truth.
You're going to do the same thing after your show.  You'll post pics from the stage and only want to hear people say "you look great!  You got robbed!!"  There will be people that, once again, tell you that the reason you didn't win is because you weren't in shape.....which you will ignore.
If you want to continue with that pattern for yet another show, be my guest.
If you want to have a chance at winning, you can't come in to the show in the same out of shape condition as you have for every other show you've done.

It shouldn't make a difference, but here's a photo of my quad 7 weeks out of the last show I did.  I lost about 20lbs from this point.
I also won the show.

LOL

he won't recover. what a fucking beat- down. glad someone else in this thread has some idea of what they are talking about like you and stav.

'yes my fat leg 10 weeks out' he says. what a tool. i know guys who carry 12% who have better vascularity in their legs- yeah, vascularity is a great yardstick for competition shape.

The legs aren't that bad. He would likely just need to drop another 20lbs from his projected stage weight. I don't know what the other guys look like but I think Matt could do well if he nailed the conditioning, which is unlikely to happen, based on what he says on here.

the nats here at that weight class is no joke.

the lighter classes are stacked with talent. complete physiques for the most part top to bottom, and great conditioning.

he's going into a class thinking he's going to place looking the way he has for past shows. first mistake.

second mistake is thinking his legs will still have the same size they do now in 10 weeks. if he trims the baby fat off them, they are going to be a lot smaller. A LOT.

3rd mistake is thinking he doesnt have to drop much more BF. his upper body is lean, but he'll need to be leaner than he has ever been before in 10 weeks. and if he's that lean his legs will be non-existant, especially since that where he's holding a majority of his fat.

last mistake is looking at the pic of the class winner last year and saying 'this is what im competing against'. wrong. thats what won the class last year. do you know how many guys are doing the provincials here in ontario alone next week? this will be one of the deepest provincial shows here in a long time. not to mention the guys on the east coast who'll be going. fucking something in the water out there for sure. they grow like fucking weeds out there, and they are very well conditioned.

he's so far out of the loop with his delusional thinking he's going to be in for a big surprise come show time.

I agree with Doison .
MaTT will never achieve anything in bodybuilding ,he doesn't want to work hard ,he relies on drugs and upperbody genetics.
Lack of legs development and lack of conditioning tell me that he is lazy.

What do you think of Matt's raw talent? Does he have the potential to win the Nationals eventually (assuming he does everything he can)?

Yes condition is key, i'll end up in the light middle weight class.  Here is the guy who won the light middle class last year.  I feel my upper body is better, but legs well im not sure yet. This is my 1st time at nationals i don't expect to go there and clean house!, i know im up against freaks!.  Over the years i'll improve, and im doing fine as a sponsored bodybuilder now and have been so for the last 5 years.  So go ahead hate, bash me etc, it doesn't keep me from posting here ::) if anything it just bugs you guys so i get a kick out of it :P.   All i want to do is improve on how i looked last year, i don't care what the other guys look like, i'll place where i place based on my condition.

Holla!

This dude looks fucking awesome in person, just a bad picture
He is ripped to shred, crazy back

Matt has some of the best genetics on this board (and other boards)

His problem is in his head.

I completely agree with Doison and No one, Matt needs to get fucking pealed.
Ths dude Matt posted a picture of is fucking shredded, the picture does him no justice.
When you see these guys onstage they look rock fucking hard, I have myself never been even close of being that lean

MattT you are seriously deluded and stupid, if a bodybuilder cant take criticism/feedback and only wants to hear from phags saying how great he looks then you will never make it in bodybuilding, your legs suck go fucking work them instead of posting pics of them here trying to make out they are ok, do you want to win and be pro? if you do you will take on board what you've been told here and you will apply it, if all you want to hear is about how great you look then you are going no where put last place, get over your small man complex and get in the fucking gym and train those legs 3 times a fucking week, its really ot that difficult to comprehend you dumb midget ::)

i agree with both you and stav- he's got some great genetics- just look at the transformation he made from when he used to post his bulking pics to now. he's got a good frame that his muscle easily fills out and he can add more without losing his lines. full muscle bellies, good attachments. but his lower body is really really weak.

thats being said, genetics are not enough to win shows. example- i have a friend. he epitomises the words 'super responder'. he can easily grow into a show. the problem is that his genetics are so good they hold him back from reaching his true potential. he misses meals during his prep. won't eat his carbs- says he has no appetite. the workout he is given is pretty extensive- im trying it now. a lot of high set/ high rep/ break down sets. he doesnt do either the exercises he's told to do, or if he does, cuts the working sets short, or just cuts out certain exercises all together. his genetics allow him to fuck the dog and still place well at the provincial level. in fact i'll be very surprised if he doesn't take the heavyweights at this years provincials. he has never had to work hard for his gains.

thats the problem with tsingoring (or whatever his name is)- he doesnt have the work ethic to match his genetics. genetics without a work ethic at the nats will see you place out of the top of the class, cause guys who don't have the genetics make up for it by upping the dose and busting their ass.

this being said- some food for thought- if he had great genetics, would his legs not respond the same as his upper body? that leaves one conclusion- either he's lazy in the gym and doesnt train his lower body with the enthusiasm he does his upper, or his genetics suck, in which case he'll never bring his legs up.

what im trying to say van is that i think he has the genetic potential to win his class one day at the nats, but he doesn't have the mental potential to do so.

here: a good example- antoine valliant.

undeniable potential. better conditioning then matt t has ever achieved, and a much much better lower body.

placed 4th in his class last year at the nats- 4th.

and matt t is on here spouting off about 'this is the winner of my class last year', thinking he's gonna show up and they're going to cancel the show so as to not waste anyone's time.

valliant is a far more complete competitor than tsikorang, but matt t thinks he's going to do some damage in 10 weeks looking like that.

good luck son, you're going to need it.

Here's a reality check...

Matt is it against your religion to make improvements?  You've looked the same for a while.
While your condition has improved nothing else has.  I don't know what your goals are in bodybuilding so I guess it would depend on that?  Why aren't you competing in pro-qualifiers?  If you really want to turn pro, (which I don't know if you want to or not) you need to quit fuckin' around and get serious and start eating and up the dosage and compete in real shows. You seem to be happy being the big fish in a small pond.  Time to jump into the big pond against real competition cause while you look better than just about everyone on getbig, I'm no longer impressed cause alot of time has passed and nothing has improved.

Quit being a fucking pussy do the business of bodybuilding or quit coming on here looking for moral support without showing any improvements. It's obvious there is potential there but you're wasting it by "playing it safe".

the show he's doing in 10 weeks is a national level show where 2 pro cards are handed out to the men's classes.

that's why i'm busting his balls so badly here. if it were a provincial level show i'd leave him alone, but the kid needs a serious wake up call.

Not to be a prick, but Matt has to look literally shrinkwrapped for a show like this.............tha`t`s why I always tell him to forget about a fucking target/onstage goal bodyweight.

Just eat lie a Spartan and train like a demon..............harde r training than he`s ever done before, especially on legs.

I`ve seen more delusional guys reach their projected goal of weighing a certain amount on contest day,but they are far from being in shape.

Drop to a lower class if you`re not cut for a certain higher weight class.......no shame in it and you may just win the show/or your class.

I did a contest in NYC where a buddy of mine showed up and was thrilled that he weighed 198 right on the nose.............fucking guy was fatter than shit and should have been a top end middleweight.

Matt has great potential and looks awesome but has to get busy NOW!!

You can`t flex fat!!!

You have fat on your lower back.  Your "xmas tree" is barely visible at the top.  You have no crisp delt/arm tie either.  You have at least 10lbs to drop from THAT pic.  You have at least 20lbs to drop from the first pic you posted.

You don't have to listen to what I say.  You can post your pics here and listen to any circle jerk action you can get, but you're only going to step on stage with fat legs and decently lean upper body for the 15th time.  If coming in soft so that you can be a certain weigh year after year is what you want, fine.  But don't get pissed off when I give you advice on how to have a different outcome at your shows for a change.

Like I said, you don't have to listen.
