It is also unwise to speak against banana bread.

Everyone loves banana bread!  Speak no ill of it!

why are you gonna do all this running anyway...running feels horrible and is horrible for your joints. you should be swimming instead, it is the perfect full-body cardio exercise and is harmless on your joints. and, instead of reeking of sweaty onions when you are done u come out feeling clean and crisp and sanitarily chlorinated.

John I run 6 days a week, I dont have any issues that I know of yet. I start training swimming wise too next week. The triatholon is 1/2 mile OCEAN swim, 12 mile bike ride and run 3.5 miles

You're going to do great.  Just don't think about the urine.

there are sharks in the ocean. a man in arkansas got his arm bitten off by a bull shark doing the 'ocean swim' part a few years back. swim in pools or at least lakes or something. there are gigantic flesh eating monsters in the ocean.

hey, Newmom

try running outside instead of on a treadmill - it's a whole different experience running on a road or path

it's more fun and there's more to see, plus it's summer!

I went on a 4 hour river tubing trip with about 10 other people who were drinking beer constantly the whole way and NOT ONE time did anyone have to stop to relieve themselves.

It's the damndest thing I have every seen.

the only reason newmom signed up for this is because she was confused when they told her she could "do an ironman"  she thought it was literal.

Wait at the finish line for her with a t-shirt that says:

"GB says...stop posting and train"

There is a way to cheat on the run, I saw a marathon once the runner started the race then jumped in a car timed the arrival and jumped out at the finish line maybe you want to consider this?

Then that's doing an injustice. A woman that did the nyc marathon hopped on the subway and got busted. Thought never crossed my mind. Running races you either have an ankle monitor that tracks every mile or lace one that does the same

cool

I start off at a medium pace, slowly build up speed, and then do an all-out sprint for the last 1/4

ran a mile in 5:10 this morning, my best yet

You ran a 5:10 mile? Damn dude! I'm fvcking impressed! Even when I was in peak condition with a 71 ml/kg/min VO2 max I would have had a really hard time trying to match that performance.

before today I would sprint right away and gas out too soon - tried a different strategy and it worked out

always room for improvement . . .
