Wyatt Earp or Tombstone
« on: June 04, 2010, 03:30:32 PM »
I tend to like Costners more authentic portrial...But sometimes Tombstone is all hollywood western which is more entertaining. And Val Kilmer is a better Doc Holiday than Quaid..although quaid was very good as well..

Speaking of...Holiday was a real dentist from GA..

I loved the lines after the first shootout in Apaloosa..."man....that didnt take long"

Duvall : "Thats cuz everyone knew how to shoot "

Thanks dude. But that webside dumps all over that movie, though. You sure it's any good? How about anything more recent, like in the 60's?

Wasn't Charles Bronson in some good westerns?

The Searchers. The Cavalry Trilogy. Once Upon a Time in the West. The Wild Bunch. Stagecoach. Red River. Unforgiven. Shane. High Noon. Josey Wales. Ride the High Country. Bunch of Tony Mann's films. Mal mentioned Appaloosa - that was pretty good except for what's-her-name. Great genre.
