The only recreational drug I have ever taken is booze.

I'm far from my best because of injuries but my best lifts are Bench 264, Squat 374, Deadlift 352.

That's them I'm afraid. After that, injuries kept catching up on me.

Damn dude, I have NEVER consistently eaten 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, I would say I usually eat about .5 grams per pound of bodyweight.

I think it's different for everyone, maybe 0.5g is enough for you. I know my body composition got worse on only 0.5g.

Explain?
Irrelevant for body composition anyway.

No need for PM:

- strength training
- get enough protein
- eat less

when you eat protein your body burns more energy/calories to digest that macro nutrient than say a carbohydrate, thus you are burning more calories if your ratio for protein is high in comparison to fats and carbs.

High Protein, low carb diets shed fat like nothing else

Practically all metabolic ward studies have shown that as long as protein is high enough, it doesn't matter at all where the rest of your calories come from, neither for weight loss, nor for body composition.

without a caloric deficit?

I'm surprised you never heard of it. Basically, it increases the body's temperature and metabolic rate by depleting ATP. It's exercise in a pill, literally - very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
