lol what nonsense

Not all boxers chins are the same, someone like a Oliver Mccall could take just about every shot a man could hit with him; chin or not. The difference in capability to take a shot partly is natural but the consistent training and sparring in the gym develops their chin to withstand more punishment than the average person.
Mexican fighters in general have good sturdy chins because their style of boxing is to go in and brawl with their opponent, if they had a chin like Brock Lesnar it just wouldnt work.
Also their recovery time is much faster, if they get hit hard on the chin they simply shake it off.

Of course everyone is different by degrees. For instance, I have a bit of an over bite so when I take it flush on the button I'm out cold. It's only happend 3 times in 15 years over countless fights (formal/informal). But that's because I make it a point to protect my chin and would rather get taken down. But if you're tired and your mouth is open and a right hook or a Chuck Norris inspired round house finds it's way to your chin you're going out. Of course you have freaks so if you aren't going down with a hit to the button you're not going down for any other blow as well. But if you're worn out enough and that jaw is hanging open even Oliver is going down.

Fedor is a great fighter, hes explosive, fast, great on the ground, and punches hard.
Shame he never got into the UFC, he would of exposed alot of those wannabes

He lost to the #10 ranked fighter in the world ::)

Boxing = the sport of punching.

MMA = the sport of fighting.

MMA = more exciting and a lot closer to what a street fight would be.

Im not sure if the MMA world sees this as a boxing vs MMA standoff but the boxing world sure as hell doesnt.

Just because he isn't the best boxer in the world doesn't mean that he doesn't represent boxing.  For Christ sake, he's a boxer.  What else does he represent?  I could say the same thing about Couture.  He's old, he's past his prime, he doesn't represent MMA to the MMA world no matter what boxers think.  Its stupid. James Toney is a boxer.  When he fights, he will fight as a boxer.  When a Gracie fights, they represent BJJ, whether they are the best in the world, or old, or out of shape, they are still BJJ fighters.  You can't have it both ways.  If Toney wins, you're gonna say it proves boxing is better, but if he loses, well he wasn't the best boxer for the job.

Yeah, the rankings mean everything.  That's why Lesnar is #1 in the world.

Did you just watch the fight?
You REALLY think those 2 are better fighters than Fedor?
Go back and watch any of Fedor's prime fights, and tell me that he's less skilled than those two jackasses that just had their bout.
Watching that fight was painful.

This is the sport of "fighting" not the sport of who is the most "skilled".  If Fedor got in there with any of those 280lbs beats, he would be pummeled.  That is why he chose to stay out of the UFC and continue to fight cans.

He is no longer the #1 ranked heavyweight.  He is out of the P4P rankings.  And, if he ever wants to regain the #1 status, he has no choice but the face the top guys.

Not sure you have ever been in a streetfight if you are saying that, the second you go to the ground in England be prepared to have 6+ people stamp on you.

LAWL at this.
You mean the 2 "beasts", one who ran the fuck away from a striker and turtled in a corner, or the other one who gassed throwing punches in 1 round and then gave up when he got taken down in the 2nd?
Which "beast" are you referring to?
Look I get you like the UFC, but you cant sit there with a straight face and try and tell me those two are so fucking amazing. ::)

What are those six people doing while the fight is still on the feet? They only jump in when it goes to the ground.

Here in Hawaii they just let the fight go. If someone jumps in then all hell breaks loose. We love our fights here but consider it very cowardly to jump on someone's back just because you're guy is losing. You can break it up if your buddy is taking a major beating but if you sneak up and false crack someone you're going to get mobbed.

In a fight be prepared for all the guys "mates" to put the boot in if you go down, no such rules or etiquette here.

true
Unless you are 100% sure that its a one on one fight then you should forget going for any sort of take down or grapple hold
You never know if a friend of his could come up behind you and kick you in the head, thats life threatening.

Best bet if you are facing more than one person is striking

wow sometimes your blindness and ignorance is hard to ignore.  Fedor would destroy Carwin or Lesnar.  Literally destroy!  I like Lesnar but Fedor in that same position as Carwin was would have literally put Lesnar in the hospital.  Fedor hits harder than both of them and he is lighter.  And please don't say how hard Carwin hits, he showed how hard he hits in the first round when he was at his strongest.  Jeez sometimes I think you take drugs when you post.

Where have you heard that Fedor hits harder then Carwin.  Everything i have heard says that Carwin is one of the hardest punchers period and he gave it his all while pounding Brock in the face and coudlnt knock him out.  I dont think that Fedor could have knocked Brock out either, giving he was in the same position.
Wait for it....

Everyone that's fought him has said he is the hardest hitter they have faced.. everyone including former UFC champ tim sylvia who called him a 'stud' and said he's 'never been hit so hard' in his entire life.

Listen to 0:30 secs in.

He may not have knocked him out, but having him in the fetal position in the corner, Fedor would have found a way to take him out...
Seriously, you think if Fedor was in the ring and Brock was turtled on the floor Fedor wouldnt finish him? Wheather it was a submission, whatever, Fedor has the skills to change up his game plan.
Not just sit there pounding away and praying he goes lights out. That was a pathetic fight.  ::)
