Why is it wrong to call a person fat?

I dont see a problem with it. Its not like they dont know it or it's a shocker to them

plus i dont see how "you're fat" is automatically an insult. Isn't it just stating the obvious? Couldnt you also say "you have blue eyes"  "you're around 5 feet 10 inches tall", etc?

We know/knew we are fat, wtf wants to be reminded. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't call someone names, I don't live your life.

Now good point some people are Fat and know it so telling them they are fat sometimes helps their motivation to change. Now with a stupid low IQ person sometimes nothing can done so it crushes them further into a sub zero self esteem.

Like I have posted before..REACHED MY AHA Moment/breaking point. Sure there were factors into play, but took a month after my physical to me to get my ass in gear. I had to figure out what I wanted and needed to do

What do you think?  Such words are not offensive when they are used by friends and supporters (though friends and supporters almost never use that kind of language).  I doubt the gays and lesbians in your own family would think kindly of you if you referred to them that way.

Most often such words are used by those seeking to cause injury and humiliation or to set themselves apart as somehow superior.  As it happens, my self-esteem is beyond the reach of such insults so I do not feel personally diminished by them, but I understand why someone else would be and to that extent I think it is unwelcome.

As an aside, a few weeks ago I got a PM from a poster here who had apparently “found Jesus” (or some other deity).  He sent me a note to apologize for all the homophobia and hateful rhetoric he has spewed in previous posts over the years.  Perhaps he had found god… maybe he was simply growing up…  maybe he realized he was, himself, gay?  Who knows?  Who cares? It’s not as if I was paying any attention to him anyway...

By the way, have you figured out what to do with our life yet?
 

I dont really know what to do with my life.  I love to argue, and if I could make up my mind and set a goal I  would reach it.

I told you I was in school Bay, why do you keep bringing this up?  Why does your opinion on calling someone fat differ so much from your opinion on calling someone a homo?  Isn't either word almost always used in a hateful manor?
