Politics is nothing more than who you prefer stealing and wasting your money.  

The left prefers that the govt steal it and dole it out to the poor and special interests like public sector unions, welfare, govt agencies, etc.

The right prefers the govt steal it for wars and military spending.  

The vast working and middle class gets screwed by both parties in this con game as one parties taxes the crap out of you and spends the money in ways that help no one.  The other party borrows and spends it.  

At the end of the day, the result is the same, unless you are a bum on welfare or a corporate titan, you are likely getting screwed royally, whether its direct taxation, inflation, less freedom, etc.    

These parties get us to fight over personalities like Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc, as opposed to discussing the polices they are actually enacting. 

If we discussed the policies as opposed to the personalities, Obama, Bush, Clinton et al would be in a shared jail cell.

Heard some nerd author on the radio the other day, yes I listen to something other than Hank Jr or Metallica  , and he made a great point that is along these same lines.

He was talking about that during GW Bush's admin guys like Moore, etc... exploited peoples fears and caused half the population to get angry....now we have the opposite....Obama has Hannity, Rush, etc... doing the exact same thing to the other half of the population.  When most of the time there is a huge majority of what people will agree on, in a a ONE on ONE conversation, too many are too easily distracted by these shenanigans...most of which are nothing more than to get higher ratings, sell more movie tickets and thereby line the pockets of these assholes.

I'm pretty stupid and not too smart so I never got involved in politics until some asshole politician who owned a warehouse full of WWII rain-gear (ponchos) sent us ponchos during the heavy monsoon season in Vietnam.

And it was like wearing toilet paper in a rain-storm, so I wrote lots of letters but never received a response.

And that was soon followed by the arrival of some rifles that didn't work under adverse conditions such as mud and rain and yelling too loudy.

And we all assumed that those defective weapons were made by a company in which some politician was a majority stock owner.

And that's my extent with politics although I know a few whom I can call by their first name.

I don't know right from left nor anything in between, but I think I'd vote for you, Bomz. You say and see things with an intelligent attitude so you'd more than likely get my vote if you ever ran for office.

Shockwave gave me a wake up call, I respect what he says and for the most part he was right. That being said, my mind still won't change about what this administration is, what I (not anyone elses, Rush, Hannity, etc) feel is purposely trying to derail the country to fit their own socialist agenda. As many on here that have their own businesses, a family, mortgage, etc my irritation runs deep. Shockwave mention that I sounded like I "hated" the President, "hate" is a strong word. As I said before in a previous post awhile ago "it used to be that I hated the Presidents politics and not him personally but seeing what he is, IMO, purposely trying to do to the American people (business and our kids in particular ) how can one NOT dislike him on a personal level"?. Of course there's a ton more. I understand no president is perfect and towards the end I know Bush really screwed up, Clinton tried doing the same thing Obama did but in re-election for his second term realized THAT WAS NOT WAS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANTED and moved to the center and he won a second re-election, a smart move. But we have or to my best recollection, has anyone seen anything with the likes of this.
