McAnusPusher can beat the hit out of all of them.  He is easily the baddest guy on Getbig.  I hear it all the time.  Just from him, though. ::)

it's so easy to be called a MMA artist, even swede is an mma artist... no offence swede.. but you are :D (irony that I have to say no offence), all you have to do is few months of jiujitsu, some streetfighting, go to the cage with the small gloves and get your ass kicked, then you have deserved to be called a cage fighter :/

but you're not a boxer even after 5 years....

in my gym this 20lbs heavyer bald dude he said; "yeh I'm a bouncer... then do lil cage now then........... ye ye cage fighting..."

he couldn't do 12 pull ups...  :-X

So you equate how many pull ups somebody does with how they handle themselves in hand-to-hand combat?  Interesting...

I was waiting for that...

"PfffffhhH!!! You don't do anything with pull ups in the cage..... PFFFT, you don't do anything with physical fitness in the cage.... PFFFFT you don't do anything with 20 miles every morning in the cage!"

that's not my point, my point is.... you get the title "cage fighter/mma artist" if you have the "courage" to step in the cage and get beaten... but if you do that, then you're... you're it :D

Nah, I'd say cardio obviously plays a huge part in it, anybody who has ever wrestled or boxed will vouche for that....see "in shape" guys blow up all the time.....but pull-ups are meaningless from a fighting standpoint...all it does is gauge how much upperbody strength someone has in proportion to their weight.

I have seen it in my own eyes that it's bullshit.... every movement he did was with 30-50 pounds less weight he was constantly trying to convinse me it was because he was "running" today and that he had 2 week lay off  ::)

DUDE!!! Why you need to  :D... you can't... can't even touch your toes when you stand... some cage fighter, true professinal athlete  ::)

The point is, people who never knew what martial arts means suddenly watches ufc, gets few "fight!" lessons and consider them a "cage fighter"...

lol, I'm a cage fighter even... hell I'm a "fighter".... hell I'm an athlete  ::).... i think mma has developed a low standard to start calling one an mma artist or cage fighter, that's all

I covered this in a diff thread but I will re-post:

MMA is a rag tag bunch of misfits who couldn't cut it in boxing, football, or wrestling. Typically guys with a chip on their shoulder. They still have "something to prove" They literally "support" the industry not only as participants but also fans .

Take a moment and think of the type guys you see wearing tap out and monarchy shit. Shaved heads, covered in tats, go-tees, juiced up, no college degrees, low level jobs ( if any).
Another key component is that the MMA fan boys will take it VERY PERSONAL if you make a dig on MMA. For what ever reason they get very offended.

Why is this? I will tell you why, because it is their identity! Latching onto MMA by watching PAY-Per view fights, wearing the Tap out shit, shaved head , talking about diff fighting styles ( but never actually practicing them ) gives them a sense of identity.

Since many of these types have a low self esteem, "short mans complex" or chip on their shoulder, the Bad ass tuff guy , brusier persona that goes along with the MMA industry serves its purpose by giviing these wanna bees something to cling to. They adopt it as their M.O. , their identity, what people know them as, etc. In the end Resulting is a pathetic , silly joke of a person.

I'm not arguing with you at all on that point.....I think it has too.  I used to get guys in my store wearing some Tapout shit and trying to find kettle bells, etc...  when I would show them the kettle bells, suddenly they wouldn't buy them after they tell me they've been looking everywhere for them....they were the same guys who ALWAYS had to bring up their training/fighting during the conversation.

My only point was that I don't think pull-ups are any gauge of anything other than being able to pull your own bodyweight up in the air about 2 feet.  ;D

alot of the fanboys of mma, tapout wearing spike tv loving brock lesnar nut hugging, are into it because they are insecure about their ability to defend themselves.

alot of the people who hate on mma do so because they think they could beat up all the fans and all the fighters

the guys who actually fight, and actually train, and actually win.. their cool

me, im indifferent.. i see how it could be fun to get into fights with people just to beat them up. and i see why people dislike the fans, and the fighters... alot of times when ive watched the "pro fighters" they dotn seem to have very much "killer instinct", and just kind of relax and try to play the fight as a slow back-and-forth strategic kind of game..   which is bullshit and not fighting at all

What about those meatheads wearing those ridiculous t shirts?
I think most of of people are just jealous, since a "MMA fan boy/ cage fighter" or whatever you want call it could kill you.
I know its hard to accept that we can kick your ass, and sometimes we are 30,50 or 100 pounds lighter than most of people.
Plus MMA people are way more health, conditioned and rarely use drugs.
And don't let me start with all the g4p/ schmoo crap. should  I continue?
Don't hate the player hate the game.

there is No way I would call myself anything close to a cage fighter without having a a few fights under my belt.

And neither should anyone else. Its called MMA not "training to be a cagefighter"

And I doubt any of these fuckers are training hard. Serious mma training is a fuckign nightmare lol. and I havent trained it Seriously just 2 times a week

one problem i have with these mma wanna be's is the shit they do that they think is goin to help them be a better fighter

the number one thing i hate is the "speed bag". what the fuck is this contrapment for? hahaha. you will never ever punch with the side of your fist, and you never have to punch in some silly rythm either.

if an mma dude is serious, he would stand in front of a heavy bag half the day, and the other half he would take the place of the heavy bag and let people beat up on him to build his tolerance.

cardio is great, especially when two guys are close to even matched... but these guys miss the point. its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving... and how hard you can hit. those two factors alone determine 99% of all fights.

I have never ever seen a MMA guy hit the speed bag even once, only boxers..

Link me to some of these videos..

and Im no boxer but Im guessing it helps with cordination and muscle endurance etc.

I have no idea why you are drawn to these threads when its apparent that you know absolutly Nothing..,?

How the fuck would Just hitting a bag benefit a MMA guy?!?! He would GAS within 15 sec in his real fight.
Endurance for wrestling is a whole other story           which you should know!!  are you just playing stupid or what? :)

what is fighting, whether mma or boxing? you are striking the other person. what is a heavy bag? an imitation of a human body to strengthen your punches/kicks with.
